I ordered these in July 2024. I recently found one of the cups are cracked and leaks now. This is unfortunate I really did like these cups. They have only been hand-wash. Edit: I worked with customer service. They were super nice and sent me a replacement. It's great to see a company stand behind their product.

These are very nice and have a beautiful finish. They are made of Beech Wood and finished with beeswax. I don't recall that this information was provided anywhere on Amazon. I haven't used them enough to see any "wear" on the surface but, if that occurs in the future, it would be simple to apply a light coat of beeswax to brighten up the surface. I'm just thinking ahead. I suppose that if you are a real purist and concerned about affecting the taste of the drink, you may not want to do that but personally I would be OK with it. However, it may be a moot point because you possibly will never need to do anything to the surface. To me, there is just a satisfying feeling associated with drinking good Bourbon, that has spent years ageing in wooded barrels, from a wooden vessel. This represents a good value from something that I expect to enjoy for years. I bought two; one for me and one for whomever is lucky enough to drink my good Bourbon with me!

First, some of the reviews mention the charred interior; these are not charred. But more importantly, these DID NOT HOLD WATER (OR WHISKEY)! Glass 1 I poured a bourbon, added a little ice and water, and set the cup down on an end table. When I picked up the glass for a drink, there was a puddle of bourbon and water under it. I took the other glass and half-filled it with water and set it on a paper towel. Within 3 minutes the paper towel was soaked.
