The ‘lead’ is a little light but it is smooth and writes very well.

I'm big on drawing, and typically traditional wooden pencils are my go-to. Mechanical pencils are nice for longevity, but their thin, straight lead isn't really intuitive for the intricacies of shading, line weight, etc. This is exactly what I needed. It's got all the pros of a wooden pencil, while also being durable, reusable, and STYLISH! The pencil itself has a very nice weight and feel to it, and makes a super satisfying scratching noise while writing, if you're into that stuff.

I love this concept. Unfortunately, the pencil slipped from my hand one of the first times I used it and the nib cracked in half. Without a smooth tip, it writes pretty poorly. Replacement nibs aren't cheap. Great when it works, but it's pretty fragile. Handle with more care than a standard pen/pencil.

This Metacil pencil feels SO good in my hand; hexagonal, cold, and substantial weight. My standby, by Faber Castell, is round, slightly lighter, and has a plastic layer on the outside so you don't get that rock-cold feel. PROBLEM? The "lead" / graphite of the Metacil is just too hard. Even with a lot of pressure, enough to emboss the paper, the Metacil produces a very light line. It's uncomfortable to press that hard, but, with normal pressure, the line is barely legible - barely functional. I will stick with my graphite Faber Castell artist pencils. Peeling off that plastic layer would improve the feel, but I suspect suspect it's needed for strength and to prevent fhe softer "lead" from transferring to my fingertips. Note: Picture shows Metacil line with lots of pressure, Faber with normal pressure.

Took quite some time to get, but i was impressed. Wrote amazing (just a touch light) i did however drop it, which the tip broke at an angle, but still very much usable. I will say though, you are mostly paying for the metal and not the tip as its is about the same as any other kind of forver pen/pencil.

Writes very light. Barely visible. Not worth it.

Dropped once from a conference table onto carpet. Tip broke. Pencil is fine but a replacement tip costs as much as the pencil. Not worth it.

Great purchase, would’ve loved if it came already in the pack with one or two more tips, but still amazing idea and it works super well!

Le "crayon à papier" le plus cher que j'ai jamais acheté ! Néanmoins, s'il tient ses promesses de "distance" d'écriture (si je ne le casse pas et si je ne le perd pas), je pense pouvoir le léguer à mon fils en héritage ! En terme d'écriture, c'est un crayon à papier, qui écrit, comme.... un crayon à papier. J'avais envie de me faire plaisir et jusque là, c'est réussi !

削らずかける鉛筆と聞いて、珍しいものみたさで購入しました。 金属製のボディは持ったときにしっくりきますが、表面の塗装はすぐに傷がついて剥がれます。剥がれると言ってませんが入るようなイメージでしょうか。 書き心地は金属の重さでいい感じですが、字の濃さはかなり薄い。しっかり書かないと「薄っ」で思います。 消すこともできますが、普通の鉛筆より変えにくいように感じました。 珍しいという点では、面白くて満足です。 他のメーカーのものも買って使っていますが、一番しっかりとした手応えがあると思います。
