Fantastic ! Quality henna and caring customer follow up. Can’t fault!
This was my first time ever, using henna. I’ve spent decades colouring my hair mostly lightest blond and burning my scalp in the process. The last time I did my roots I swore it was the ‘last time’ sitting there with my scalp stinging and burning. I spent a month or so researching henna and it’s many benefits and decided this was the way forward to blend in my greys and give me a more natural look that is fitting for my age (50) After looking at many reviews decided to get this brand as it had such good feedback. I did my first henna treatment yesterday and here is my review........... I mixed 100g of henna with some hot camomile tea (not boiling hot) and juice of a whole lemon. I Mixed to a thick yoghurt consistency. I covered this with a lid ( Glass Pyrex bowl) and let it develop over night. The next morning I mixed 100g of Cassia and 2 tablespoons of Amla into the henna with a bit more camomile tea and recovered with lid. I left this for one more hour and then was ready to use it. I wet my hair and lightly towelled the excess water off before applying by hand with some plastic gloves on. Because the consistency was thick it was super easy to apply and I thoroughly covered my whole head of hair within a few minutes. I ensured it was well massaged into every bit of hair and scalp. I piled my hair up and then covered it all with cling film. There was virtually no mess and I couldn’t believe how easy and un messy it was having seen many videos of super messy henna jobs! Just a couple of little splodges on the sink that wiped straight up and a little bit on my forehead. I left the henna mix on for 5 hours. It does drip and seep from the cling film a bit as it gets warm so put an old black top on and an old towel round your neck! Rinsing out was as easy as rinsing any colour from your hair and I shampooed and conditioned afterwards. My hair did feel a little dry and course afterwards and I needed a bit more conditioner to get the shower comb through it. Today my originally coloured very light golden blond hair is almost neon orange but super shiny. I know this will oxidise and mellow in the next few days and I’m hoping I’ll get to a strawberry blond/copper tone and more natural look. I watched a tonne of videos before venturing into henna and got my Henna/Cassia/Amla recipe from one of these. Cassia gives a yellow tone to henna and Amla cools the red and makes it less vibrant and more copper. The total dry mixture quantity I used was just over 200g and this was more than enough for my long (below boobs) length hair. The quality of this product is beautiful and not at all gritty or lumpy when mixed which makes it a dream to put onto the hair without the mess. Every henna journey is unique to the individual, your hair colour, quality, and how and what you mix it with will give you your individual unique colour. If you go into this process aware of this and willing to experiment and tweak to get your perfect shade then you will never go back to damaging harsh harmful chemical dyes and processing. It’s a journey and I’m having fun experimenting until I find my perfect recipe and shade. I know I can do this all over again tomorrow if I want and my hair will only thank me for it as it is super conditioning. The shine is truly beautiful. My hair still smells a bit like a wet hay bale at the moment but this will go with another wash or two. The follow up and customer care from this company is fantastic and the quality seems superior. Vacuum packed and dated packets. Clear instructions and aftercare via a courtesy email offering advice if needed. I will be a returning customer as I can’t find a single fault and won’t purchase from anywhere else now I’ve found a trusted henna company.

Top Quality product
I have used other branded neutral henna powder before, but this is my first time using Davis Finest Cassia powder. The difference is obvious from the outset. The packaging, branding and the quality of the Cassia dry powder is noticeably superior. It is of a finer quality, perhaps through sifting. During the mixing and application process I noticed a glossy sheen and the texture of the mix was appealing. Unlike other powders, the Cassia from Davis Finest was a pleasure to apply (no lumps flying about the bathroom) and was really easy to distribute throughout my hair (rather than simply caking on the top most layer of hair)! Rinsing seemed to take no time at all and the results are excellent for a first time use. I left the mix on for just over an hour and I'm very pleased with the tone it's given to the lighter portion of my hair (ok, grey/white roots) which is a natural looking pale blonde. I'm still growing out some stubborn copper henna, but the Cassia has blended fairly well with this to give different temperature levels to the overall look. I am loving this product and will, without doubt, be back to Davis Finest for some more. Thanks to them for making the process of using a natural powdered hair product a much more enjoyable experience.

Excellent
Cassia. Brilliant product. I have blonde very curly hair, which is going bright white at the temples and on the top and a horrible grey on the crown. I've stopped using chemical dyes and only use cassia now. I find it covers most of the grey/white and blends it in very well with the rest of my hair. I find it fades/washes out qute quickly on my hair but i think that's because I have to wear a hat at work, which makes my head sweat. It makes my hair look nice and thick and very soft and it really brings out my natural curl. I mix it up with half a squeezed lemon and leave it to stand for about 8 hours before i apply it. I usually leave it on around 4 hours and wrap in cling film.

Natural enhancer for your hair
It's too early to tell what long term effect this will have as I've only tried it once, but it does seem to have lightened my light brown hair slightly, and definitely changed a natural white streak I have at the front of my hair. It has conditioned my hair and it feels a little thicker. But I think you would need to use it regularly for the best effect. It looks and smells like henna powder, dark green with that kind of marshy smell which I personally like. You mix and apply it just like henna, in a paste with warm water to the consistency you prefer. I left mine on for an hour as an experiment and will try longer next time. The packet is quite generous too so there should be several applications in it. All in all I liked the product and it is natural with no additives. I think it will lighten my hair gradually and should help the condition.

My hair was really silky soft and there was next to no dandruff so I am very pleased with the results
I had been trying to go 'shampoo free' and using bicarbonate of soda and a cider vinegar rinse for 2-3 months but it wasn't working for me and my hair had become greasy and I was getting a lot of dandruff. I bought the Cassia Obvata Powder, along with Davis Finest Premium Shikakai Acacia Concinna Soap Pod Powder - 100% Pure - Natural Soap Shampoo and Conditioner and Brilliant Hair Shine - Deep Cleansing Removes Dirt Extra Oil and Leaves Scalp Healthy and Dandruff-Free - Prevention against Hair Loss Promoting Hair Growth and Soft Shining Hair - a Natural Hair Lice Treatment (100g) and Davis Finest Premium Reetha Aritha Soapnut Powder - 100% Pure Natural Fruit Powder - Chemical Paraben Preservative SLS Free - Natural Soap and Shampoo Leaves Skin Clean Hair and Scalp Dandruff-free - Hair Lice Treatment (100g) to try and recreate a product called 'Caspinda' that I had previously used (some 10 years ago) to wash my hair with but that is no longer being sold. I used equal quantities of Cassia, Shikakai and Reetha (1/2tbsp of each) with 1/8 tsp of neem powder, wrapped my hair up with cling film and left for 45 mins, rinsed hair and dried naturally. My hair was really silky soft and there was next to no dandruff so I am very pleased with the results.(I found perhaps 6 flakes, and I had to look hard to find them.) My hair is just below shoulder length, straight with medium thickness. I don't think the Caspinda had any Reehta in as it has a sweet, almost 'jam' like smell, which the Caspinda didn't have. I've tried using just the Cassia, Shikakai and neem and whilst it does wash my hair perfectly well, the Reetha seems to add extra shine and softness. I found the instructions on the packets clear and easy to follow. One of the packets had the Amazon barcode label covering some of the instructions and I was unable to peel in off without removing them, but the Davis Finest has a website with info about how to use the products so I referred to that instead.

Good product.
I purchased this for conditioning not for color. Wasn't sure at first but on the 3rd application (i have short to medium hair) i did notice less "frizz" and more shine. The 3rd time I let it sit for an hour before applying and leaving it on for two hours.

THIS ITEM DOES NOTHING!
I did not notice a SHRED of difference to my hair after waiting nearly 4 hours with this paste on. White hairs are still blindingly white, and I didn't even notice a difference in condition. The product description is an absolute fabrication! Don't believe a word of it. This product is an UTTER WASTE OF TIME.

Would not use again
I read many reviews before eventually trying this natural product but found it very disappointing. I used it for covering grey hair and was mostly concerned about covering the re-growth after using chemical dyes. I followed a number of recommendations I found online. Ie add apple cider vinegar and water then leave for a number of hours to intensify the dye. It covered the grey in some areas but not others and the colour came out a brassy blonde, not very attractive, so will not use again, nor recommend it. Also a very messy process and time consuming.

Works great! Before and after pictures
I noticed my hair was dry, and looking dull so I decided to buy this product. I have never tried any Cassia/henna products before and I was browsing through Amazon trying to find some pure cassia. This stuff didn't have any reviews so I felt slightly nervous buying it :0 I'm so glad I did! My hair is naturally dark blonde & I boxed dyed it a bit blonder a few months back. The box dye made my hair look dull & not its usual shiny blonde. I took some before and after pictures. My hair looks just a tad bit brighter (you can't tell from the pics because they were taken in my bathroom with a flash on haha). The thing that I liked the most is this made my hair very smooth, soft, and glossy, like it was before I dyed it. It was easy to apply, no staining, and was pretty easy to rinse out. It smells like tea lol. If you're considering, you should buy this! It's a good purchase.

Good quality powder
Good quality powder, it's a perfect alternative for someone with lighter hair who wants the benefits of henna without the colour. I'm a dirty blonde and used the powder mixed with lukewarm water and let sit 1-2hours in my hair under a cap. Gots lot's of compliments on how my hair got more golden than usual, also my hair felt stronger the next 3-4 weeks. I personally like the smell of the cassia oblovata but I mixed it with some orange essential oil which I think made the experience even better. I will be ordering again.
