Alfred's Basic Adult All Time Favorites 1 (Alfred's Basic Adult Piano Course)

This is not the first Alfred's music book I have bought. I have the basic course books and found them really useful. As for this one it's really good because; the music is a reasonable size and easy to read, the songs sound right (some music one buys is simplified too far and sounds poor), there are odd hints to explain more obscure musical symbols (eg // for small pause). Finally the price was good. I would prefer to see the tempo expressed in beats per minute to give an exact idea of the authors' aspiration for the sound, but this is not vital to the use and enjoyment of the music. Besides which I can't play very fast anyway.

Enjoying picking out some nice tunes to play at a beginner level (only been playing for a couple of months!). It makes a good companion to the Alfred Self-Teach book.

Good learning tool and interesting songs

Good Selection of Music and at a good level of competence, having recently taken up learning to play the piano again after learning when I was a child

There is a good mix of simplified classics, traditional tunes and some more modern songs.

I find that this music selection is good for addition practice for beginners, like myself. Full of popular music and words to sing along with.

It is many years since I tried to learn piano. This course has me playing pieces of music that I am familiar with very quickly.

It arrived quickly, and the book is in good shape like new even it says used. Order a new one will take a month to arrive , this order arrived in two days, I am happy.

This book is a perfect compliment to Alfred's Complete Adult Course. I had taken piano as a child and then forgot everything until a few months ago. I'd printed things off the internet and got a couple of other basic books. The I found Alfred's course which covers everything. My hands are remembering and the books are keeping me in line. I just needed more practice at a particular level and that is where the song book came in. It gives you that in big beautiful print. I love all kinds of old music and the song choices are right up my alley. I am impressed. Alfred is my new best friend.

I have found all of the Alfred Piano Learning Books to be a very in depth learning tool. I would strongly suggest it to someone who is interested in learning the piano. I have been absent from playing for many many years and this has brought the joy of playing piano back into my life.
