Seashore: 1 (Beginners)

We have other usborne beginners books and this one is OK, but it does feature a lot of seashore creatures that aren't found in the UK, things like sand dollars and abalone. However, the book is really easy to read to young ones as it has lots of lovely quality photos and diagrams, and the kids love to try and find things at the sea that match the book (apart from abalones of course!) These books are nice and hard-wearing, important when you have young kids grabbing them and chucking them about.

This is a fantastic little book that is full of interesting facts about the seashore. It is written in bite sized chunks that makes it easy to share with younger children and has a mixture of photos and drawings. My three year old loves it, requesting it time and time again. I would certainly recommend it for any child who is curious about the seaside.

A lovely book bought for my 4yr old's birthday. We live by the sea, so it's inspired him to look closely in rock pools etc when we're out and about.

3 year old fan of this series of books is very happy that Santa brought him this. Ooooh! Granny - just the one I wanted!

As our grandchildren come to visit us by the sea, we can look for so many shells and creatures in the rock pools and the shore and gain lots more enjoyment having knowledge of their namestand where to look for things.

These Usborne beginners books are all great, and this has been one of the more popular ones. Interesting facts, great pictures, and easy to read text for early readers - or great to read to younger children.

Very nice book, lovely pictures, easy text, without being too simple. My daughter (she is 9, but not a native speaker) loves it, she reads it to me at bedtime everyday.
