I have three of these - one for the home and two for work. They are great. Easy to use. Plug and play. Good price, good quality, good picture. I work for an international firm, and most of my meetings are with 40+ people at a time. My image consistently looks better than most if not all others. The built-in mic works well - crisp and clear with no delay. There was no autofocus, but there was a manual one - you just set it once and forget it. I highly recommend!

The camera produces a sharp and clear image, certainly better than the basic low-cost camera I used before. It is definitely plug-and-play; I have had no difficulties in it functioning (with a Windows 10 operating system). The depth of field is good, and I have not had to fuss at all with the manual focal length adjustment. I had hoped that the viewing angle would be narrower than it is, so the image would be more of the person sitting in front of the camera and less of the surrounding room. I thought based on earlier comments and description that that would be what I was getting. But alas, the viewing angle is rather wide, which should be better for a group of people than for one person sitting at a desk.

I purchased this camera for my work Zoom calls and meetings. I was worried I should have bought one more expensive just in case. This one seemed to have good reviews and although not the cheapest, was reasonably priced. I've had this about 5 months now and I am completely satisfied. The picture and sound are great (or at least no one has complained), which is necessary because I'm not just on the Zoom meetings, but am often presenting. The picture quality and ease of setup were awesome.

This is a great camera for work or personal use. We normally only purchase Logitech but with the shortage of cameras we ordered 3 of these. They all work great, easy to install have a really clear nice picture and sound quality.

Technically, the camera functions fine. Nice, crisp images, decent frame rates. The knock-down in stars comes from its on/off switch. The switch seems to only turn on & off the two little blue LEDs on the front bezel. It does **NOT** turn the actual camera on & off! I have verified this on several different computers, using Zoom. This is clearly a problem from a privacy view-point & should be factored into any purchasing decisions. Happily for me, I don't trust cameras in general, so I have a USB extension cord with a hard-wired power switch on it that the camera is connected to the computer through.

My former camera, if you can call it that, is the camera/video recorder that's built in to my laptop. It's like 20ppi and my image when looking at myself is grainy, fuzzy, faded. In other words, I never looked better. So I installed this camera (the one I'm reviewing, duh). I did not like what I saw. I have this thing hanging from my chin that I never saw before (my wife said it's my "wattle" and that it's been there for several years now). I saw wrinkles. I saw gray hair. I saw my pores, for crying out loud! So, is the quality of the picture from this camera good? Yes, it is very good. But be forewarned -- you may see things on your face you've never seen before, and never wanted to see before. Oh, and it's very easy to set up -- plug in the USB and you're in business. It took longer to get the darned thing out of the Amazon box than it did to get it up and running, which was great, because it gave me extra time to trim my nose hairs.

I knew from the reviews and description that it was manual focus instead of auto focus, but I didn't expect that to be as annoying as it was. You have to twist the circle around the lens, and it doesn't really twist easily, and chances are you're going to move the camera during the attempt so you'll have to readjust it, or your hand will be in front of the lens so it's harder to see what you're trying to focus on. It would be better if the adjustment mechanism was somewhere separate from the camera lens, at the very least. I'm only taking one star off for that, though, because the description did say it was manual focus, and I sort of knew what I was getting into. Whenever it was in focus (or as close as I could get it), it was pretty good quality. Though I could never really tell if the quality I saw was the real quality or if I just didn't focus it properly so it was a little blurry.

This camera is excellent if it is used correctly and I have found it perfect for my purposes. The lack of a tripod fixing is my only criticism but, given the price and overall quality, I’ve not deducted a star for that, particularly as screen mounting is preferred if you want the subject to appear to be looking directly at other meeting participants, which is more convincing when the camera is set a little further away. With a little bit of care over lighting and positioning, it is capable of producing much better results than most of the ‘on-line’ interviews I see on TV. It worked immediately with an 8 year old Macbook Air and with a Windows 10 PC without the need for any driver downloads. I obtained it in order to improve on the Macbook pictures, which were very poor, and to add webcam facilities to my Windows 10 PC's and a Chromebook. I have not heard the sound from it - but it hasn't raised any adverse comments from other meeting participants - the four stars for sound is therefore based on those initial responses. The following points might help to ensure good results when using it: The ‘contrast’ issues mentioned by others can be evident under certain lighting conditions when there are extremes of bright and dark areas in the scene. This is because the camera will attempt to make best use of the available light and sometimes ‘burns out’ white areas in the process. So, if the subject is correctly lit from the front with the background in relative darkness, it may be necessary to either soften the main lighting or lift the background illumination, ideally with a suitable ‘cold’ white light source so the colour temperature and illumination matches more evenly across the scene. I use 5000k LED bulbs in plain white lampshades for illumination after dark or to balance daylight. Ceiling lights, especially spotlights, and windows or lamps behind the subject are all, of course, useless for illuminating the face correctly whatever camera is used. The lens field of view is relatively tight for a webcam which enables the subject to sit slightly further back, improving the eyeline when using a laptop (which should ideally be raised so the camera is closer to face level). The manual focus may only need to be set once for the normal subject distance. The depth of field then seems sufficient to maintain focus without the irritations caused by auto-focus ‘hunting’ or noises. If the camera is mounted on a laptop screen, then they should both be placed on a solid base to maintain a steady picture to avoid annoying vibrations and shakes.

La compré para mis clases en línea. En la tarde y mañana se ve genial, la imagen es super HD, pero para mis clases de la noche se ve super mal. Se ve como unas rayas que suben y bajan todo el tiempo. Esto debido a la luz artificial (focos). Me parece una super desventaja ya que se ve de mala calidad ,corriente y es lo suficientemente cara para que sea así. Es súper fácil de instalar, es china y literalmente la conectas y ya es todo.

magnifique webcam, installation des pilotes automatique sur windows 7 , j'ai rien eu à faire, livré sans cd, mais possibilité de télécharger les pilotes sur le site papalook..., je l'utilise pour skype, l'image est de très bonne qualité et le son idem ( commentaires de mes correspondants !!), elle affiche à droite et gauche des leds aux couleurs changeantes ( juste pour le fun..), pour le prix c'est juste parfait , pour ceux qui veulent du top libre à eux de mettre bien plus chère..pour moi cette webcam est parfaite, livraison ultra rapide avec Amazon , merci.....

En esta webcam he encontrado un modelo que reproduce y graba vídeo a 1080p con una calidad bastante buena y además tiene un precio competitivo. Windows 10 reconoce automáticamente la cámara sin necesidad de usar los drivers que acompañana la cámara. El disco que acompaña al producto también trae un programa de grabación de vídeos muy práctico aunque yo lo he usado poco ya que destino la cámara básicamente para videoconferencias con amigos y familiares. El soporte de la cámara se ajusta bien al borde de cualquier monitor y el cable usb tiene suficiente longitud en mi opinión. Como detalle colorido la cámara incorpora luces led frontales que hacer transiciones suaves entre distintos colores. No es una luz frontal de iluminación sino tan sólo un vistoso y bonito adorno. Dichas luces pueden ser apagadas con un interruptor en la parte trasera de la cámara. En esta franja de precios no he encontrado otras webcam con resolución 1080p real, sin extrapolación. Hasta el momento estoy muy satisfecho con su funcionamiento.
