We refer to make all our mashed potatoes by hand to avoid additives and the high salt content of the pre-made or boxed stuff, and I've been mashing by hand. This makes it so much easier and quicker. But even better is all the other uses I didn't consider until I received the box with suggestions. For example, the smallest interchangeable disk is *perfect* for pressing the liquid out of blanched spinach. One of our family's favourites is creamed spinach with parsnips, and I usually squeeze all the water out of the spinach wrapped in paper towels--it's a waste of towels and it takes a long time, but this did it quickly without the extra waste of the towels.I can't wait to try out gnocchi, and other roasted or boiled items that I usually put in the food processor.
