Happy parent!
This kit was great. Bought it for my sons science project and made a telegram. It was a success. Instructions are a little hard to understand but the pictures make it easy. Fast shipping and product as stated. I would buy again.

Product did not come with instructions
The instructions were not included as advertised and no way to download PDF instructions that I could find. There were some videos available on YouTube other than that no help. Not too impressed. The parts included were good quality, just no instructions on how to do the various experiments.

Not Complete and Hard to Assemble
The electro magnets and other items that are created do work decently. However, it does require several items that do not come in the kits in order to assemble. Additionally, assembly is challenging and would be hard for a child to do on their own.

You better be an Electrical Engineer if you buy this!!
I bought this kit for my Science of Sound (Musical Acoustics) class in order to demonstrate how a basic electromagnet works and how it can be used to resonate a thin wire string. Initially, I got this product believing that it was kid friendly: easy to use and set up. Boy was I wrong! The product says it is for kids 10 and up, and let me tell you, I am 20 years old and it was the most complicated and ill-illustrated science kit I have ever seen in my life. Setting up an electromagnet is essentially very easy, you wrap copper wire around an iron core and provide electricity to it. The idea is very simple, but the instruction manuel makes it a thousand times harder. The manual is black and white and has very poorly drawn illustrations which in turn makes it very difficult for visual learners, such as I, who like to look at pictures to follow along with and monitor progress. The text itself is very confusing and not easy to follow along with. It is not clear and concise and often times I found myself looking at outside internet sources in order to correctly build the electromagnet. As for the product's educational value, it surely does teach you everything you need to know about electromagnets, due to the fact that you need to figure everything out by yourself with no help from the manuel. Overall, if you're too lazy to go to the store and buy all the individual materials like I was, this kit is for you because it does provide the essentials of building an electromagnet and then some. But if you're looking to buy this product as a gift to kids, DON'T. They'll be frustrated and throw it away.

Amazing.
Kit contains more than I expected. It has extras like magnets and iron dust.Good quality.I used it to present to 5-year school children. I enjoyed the presentation because the children could participate. They learned and loved it. I loved it too.

Nice kit.
Nice kit the magnets in this one are weak... I get my magnets from old school microwave ovens and old dvd and cd players ... so that makes up for it. Buy the kit and take apart the old cd etc. then it will be worth it.

I had to recreate everything in it.
I helped my daughter with a school project. When I received it, the instructions were no help and the sellers couldn't answer any questions about it.The plastic for the side rails were cheap and came in two pieces. This was bad because the the "train" would get caught on the sides. If you spaced the side plastic rails too far away then the train de-rails.The only thing I used was the magnets, I re-created the rails, base and train out of wood.Buying this was a waste of money and the sellers are of no help. I would recommend buying some magnets and find someone with a table saw to cut your own wood.
