Great hardworking kitchen aid, v impressed with it
Oh My Goodness!!!! Got this for a great price, whole family loves it. Easy to use, found it makes 2 toasties at a time with bigger slices of bread. I use a fat spray (avocado) rather than butter the bread but most of the time you don’t need to add anything.Quick to cook & heat up too, I slice sausages to half thickness to quicken them up & I’ll be doing similar to cuts of meat. Found it the best way of cooking black pudding and burgers. Great time saver for roasting veg - cut a sweet pepper into 4, grilled, removed the skin & it was lovely - soft & juicy. Made great burgers, was impressed by the amount of fat removed. Easy to clean whilst still warm. Got another for the house student. Economical to run when compared to oven or ring etc. V pleased with it, am happy to recommend. Considering getting much bigger one for summer use especially but this sits easily on the kitchen worktop & really earns its place. Would be a squish to do a whole meal on it for more than one person but I find it indispensable after a fortnight & often use it in conjunction with other kitchen appliances as well as purely on its ownUsed for French toast: 2 large slices of thick white bread, soaked both sides in lightly whisked egg & dash of milk; stuck in GF grill till browned; coated in caster sugar/maple syrup & cinnamon; gooey & fabulous & easy. All my kids are good using the grill. A very handy and useful addition to the kitchen

A Brilliant Kitchen Gadget for the Health Concious
Back in the mists of time I remember in school assembly the headmaster – this was back in the early 70’s so no ‘headperson’ stuff – taking excitedly about the fight between George Foreman and Muhammed Ali. Even today a lifetime ago I recall the hubbub surrounding this. And then to an extent life went on and I forgot all about George Foreman until he hit the small screen and what seemed like every kitchen in the land.Of course, we all assumed it would be another rubbishy bit of kitchen tat that gets dumped ASAP but no. Here we are many years later and good old George Foreman is still fronting his sarnie grills. And with good reason, because despite my initial scepticism they are, in a nutshell, bloody brilliant.I bought a couple of small ones when they first came out which, were probably much more expensive than this far larger one I have now. I used them loads of times and still do because they work so well at doing chicken breast wrapped in bacon. Mmmm. Even now as I write this I find myself somewhat hungry at the thought.Of course, they can do far more than a bit of chicken and genuinely do work as a healthy means of cooking because you don’t need to add anything to cook with. No oils or butter which, presumably is a ‘Good Thing.’Not only that, anything that exudes oil or fat naturally drains away into the saveall you put below the grill front.Saveall by the way is a seafaring term. It’s something built up around an object that might leak like an engine or fuel tank vent. Just so you know for your next pub quiz. So, my original George Foreman grills are getting on for 16 years old now and still in perfect order. This one I bought to take away with me as I work overseas in Azerbaijan and wanted a quick means of knocking up a meal. It's very similar to my original version only longer and a little wider. It shares with them the fact that it’s the low end of the range and thus does not have removable plates for washing which, if I’m honest I have not found to be a problem. As soon as I have used it I immediately place it hanging over the edge of the sink and wash it down. It takes about 20 seconds, so I do it before I tuck in.Build quality is the same as my old ones and as they are heading towards their second decade of use I don’t think I will have a problem. Just remember to use a soft sponge when washing down and do it whilst the grill is still hot. This ensures any remains are easily removed without having to work hard at it and risking a scratch on the non-stick surface. And the price. Less than 20 quid. It’s almost unbelievable to be honest. A brilliant bit of kitchen machinery that actually does get used and utterly great if you want to cook healthy food.I've pictured it with a standard sized desert spoon for refernce.

so easy to use, reliable, great for snacks
I had a two person grill before, it was great. Just plug in and away you go. I mainly used it for vegetable side dishes - I just sliced peppers/sweet potatoes/onions, tossed them in olive oil and popped them on. Another fav is chargrilled broccoli, you blanch the broccoli in boiling water for a minute or two, let it dry, toss in olive oil with chopped garlic and crushed chili according to taste then pop on the grill until nicely charred (about 20%). This grill cooks this to perfection. I have also used it for burgers with great success. I loved it, but whilst it appeared to be easy to clean, what I failed to notice was a little groove in the base that allowed grease to get in under the grill, After about 6 years of hard use it began to stink like old dead socks so had to be replaced. I ordered the 4 portion grill pretty much by mistake as a could not remember what size I had, and a portion means different things to different people. This is a good big size - see photo - takes 10 ASDA 'classic' sausages, I have branched out from veggies to burgers steaks and sausages - all dead easy on this grill. And....it IS easier to clean - the sneaky little stinky crevice on the last one is gone on this model. all good

Small grill, big quality
This George Foreman grill is an excellent piece of kitchenware. I keep it on my work surface and use it semi-regularly to make grilled cheese sandwiches (toasties) and to do bacon/sausages etc. with. It's suitably portable but also large enough to cook a decent quantity of food. It takes a few minutes to get to full heat, but cooks pretty quickly once it's got up to max. It does a great job with grilled cheese sandwiches and various kinds of meat/plant based alternatives, and the food tastes good! It's pretty easy to clean, though it would have been nice to have some sort of 'drip tray' at the bottom as it can sometimes leak with fattier foods like bacon and there's nothing to catch the drip. That issue aside, this is a very good quality mini grill that presents value for money. Recommended.

Solidly built and food feels healthier
It works well and seems really solidly built. As advertised, the fat from the food all slides down and collects in the tray in the front. Note that if you try to make eggs on this thing they'll fly right off the front and go all over your pants! Regardless, I'm eating steaks, and grilled sandwiches all the time now. It's a bit tricky to clean, but a Teflon-approved sponge and a brush do the trick.
