Solid mat over carpet. Wheels from chair do not sink or make dents. Easy to roll chair. Would have given 5 stars except it shipped as is. I knew it was shipping flat which is one reason I bought it, but thought it would at least be in flat box or wrapped. The first one was returned because it was damaged. The second one is chipped & cracked on edge. Great mat but they need to rethink their packaging for delivery

Having gone thru 6-7 of cheap desk mats over the years I finally discovered The Gorilla Mat. Perfect. Had over a year now and not a dimple of fracture . Wears like concrete. Worth the extra money.

The map itself appears to be one of the most durable so far I have ordered. I have a flat carpet, and the mat does not budge while I sit and move on my gaming chair. The mat was shipped flat and with no damage. Negative item that contributed to a downgrade was though the labeling. Initially, I was glad - Amazon put their shipping sticker right on the product label on the top side of the mat. This label peeled off very easily. Whoever got the idea though to put a sticker on the side facing the floor (with the spikes) honestly deserves to be punished. Turning the map upside down to remove them, all they contained was information what material the mat is made off and the size - I know what I ordered, and the same info was included on the top sticker. The glue was more of the permanent kind, stuck right over the spikes, and I spent about half an hour with a brush and water to remove the adhesive (it's still visible).

Happy with purchase so far. Arrived in a flat box which is good. Did not want to deal with a rolled up shipment and flattening it. Decent thickness and chair rolls ok. Quality seems better than most that I looked at. Fits perfect under my desk.
