Plump it up by mixing it with an equal amount of broth; let stand for an hour. Mix it into the sauce, soup, chili, etc. and continue to cook as usual. We use it all the time and it has never turned into mush!

Yes, but if you put them dry in a blender, it goes straight to powder. I’d put them in a bag and tap them with a hammer, like I do to bust-up nuts to the perfect size.

Q: What is the shelf life? How long after you receive the product is it until the expiration date on the package?

Mine had 2 years plus before expiration
