This durable easy fit door canopy is an extremely cost effective and efficient way of providing shelter and protection from the British weather. It requires no maintenance once installed due to its plastic construction. Protect yourself from a soaking when hunting for your house keys. The canopy will protect you from wind, rain, sleet and snow and will not deteriorate in extremes of weather or temperature. The black brackets are made from durable weather resistant, UV stabilised high impact resistant Polyamide plastic. The solid one piece clear polycarbonate sheet cover is lightweight, tough and long lasting. It is UV stabilised and offers excellent resistance against weathering and yellowing in external situations. The canopy is finished off with aluminium extrusions to front and rear and comes complete with a rubber gasket to seal the rear to the wall ensuring no leakage. The unique shape of the brackets allows for several canopies to be linked together to span a wider gap. Supplied complete with wall fixings, the overall size of the canopy is 1200mm wide x 780mm deep. The canopy is covered by a twelve month guarantee against manufacturer defects. All of the screws that hold the parts together did not have correctly cut screw threads and were thrown away to be replaced by wood screws. The rear seal was not supplied and the snag with the type of bolts provided is that they are impossible to use on an uneven surface, as is often the case with brick walls. Lacking any form of adjustment, any unevenness in the surface to which the canopy is being fitted results in a discrepancy in the degree of levelness between front and rear edges making for a wonky appearance. Replaced the supplied bolts with protruding anchor raw bolts and cut the extra thread off after ensuring correct alignment between front and rear. Putting up the canopy is a two handed task,first to mark the holes and then to fit in position.We are very pleased with the end result it looks good and does a good job sheltering the doorway.The clear Perspex is much better than the cheaper corrugated plastic.
