Older blenders I have used in the past would blend everything in the bottom of the pitcher, but not any content towards the top. That was frustrating, as it would be necessary to intermittently stop, push undermixed food content down towards the blades and resume. Thankfully, this is not the case here with the nutribullet. It easily blends everything with the large pitcher (and of course with the smoothie cups). Another plus is that it is extremely easy to clean. I want to cycle back to second identified complaint that people have remarked about the extractor component. People have reported that this can be an issue after roughly a year's usage. I have not had the nutribullet long enough to encounter this problem (I purchased the nutribullet earlier this summer). What I can say is that the company - nutribullet, sells the extractor component separately to the tune of around $20. So, if this component wears out it is easily replaced without much expense. A have a few more thoughts I want to add: 1. Experience will vary on how people use the product. The accompanying documentation says when making smoothies never fill the cup above the Max line and don't exceed 25% of the volume with ice. When blending hot liquids like soup, only use the large pitcher with the small opening at the top. Respecting things like that will likely make for a better user experience in the long run. 2.
