Review: I ordered these to dress up our church sanctuary. The building is very old, and the walls are made of some sort of cement block that make installing hardware very difficult. Ordinary spring rods did not allow fluid movement of the already existing vertical blinds. These were the perfect solution. They require no hardware, they stand out away from the window box allowing movement of the blinds, and are much dressier than ordinary spring rods. Putting them up was easy and they look absolutely wonderful. They, along with the valances of course, gave our little church a whole new look!! Couldn't be happier!!
Review: Some of the reviews made us a little dubious, so we ordered just one pair at first, with the "petal" shaped finial--I'll do a similar review as this one for all the others we wound up buying later (round ball finial) after the first pair worked. We are renting an old farmhouse with fairly elaborate window molding, and with a "no holes in the wall" rule. We agonized over whether the twist-and-fit would work with the elaborate molding, but it did for us. I could definitely see how it might not work for other folks with fancy molding, though, depending on the design. But the beauty part is that they are very inexpensive, they look attractive--nice variety of finishes and finials--and they actually work. They do NOT fall down. We were also worried about the tiny pin holes, given the whole reason for these is the "no holes" rule in our lease, but after hubby pressed in the first one and we looked hard at it, we were totally satisfied that not even our (massively picky) landlord could object. Of course, just to be on the safe side, I'll be rubbing a little white toothpaste into the micro-teensy pin holes when we move, but even if I didn't, I'd be amazed if anybody could actually see them--they're way smaller than even a thin brad hole, much less anything like a nail or screw. They almost look like a bubble in the paint. We wound up doing 13 windows in all, although there were a couple with different shapes of molding where these wouldn't work. Oh, and on one window, which is precisely 27.5 inches wide from molding to molding, the 28-to-48 inch rod worked without a problem.

It worked fine but I had to make a few adjustments to have it fit our window (I used some rubber pieces to give it enough support). It requires some support space in the front part of the window frame, which we didn't have due to the adornments in the frame. Look at the "brought together" section and you'll see how the attachment to the window has an L shape (inner and front attachments). Still, the most annoying part was the small pins that have to be forced into the window frame. Of course that is no where near drilling for a regular curtain rod, but this is not a "no hole" solution. That said, we liked it a lot, and it hanged in our window for almost a year now without any problems.
