Last Licks (Starship for Sale Book 10)

I’ve looked forward to each new episode since reading the 1st in the series.Ben has grown from strength to strength, meeting adversity with resolve - challenging himself to do better while respecting and accepting the mistakes of others.His fight has taken him across time and space, his bravery and relentless defence of freedom earning him only ever greater challenges but his grace and humility earn him loyal friends and confederates in his quest to stop an invasion that threatens known space.An entertaining series with madness, mayhem, explosions, aliens, more explosions, spaceships, magic, and finally, more explosions.

This book is pretty much non-stop action from start to finish. Perhaps not the satisfying conclusion that I might have wanted as everything felt a little rushed in order for the story to finish on this final book. Still just as difficult to put down as the previous 9 but I would have like a little bit of time for the characters to breath. I miss those small intimate moments.Due to that reason I think I actually enjoyed the final special chapter given as a free download for being on Mr Forbes' email list more (be sure to check it out - it ends on a nice spot). Really hoping we see some more of these characters appearing again at some point in the future.Overall I've enjoyed this series of books immensely. I'm a little glad a came into the serious quite late though so that I was able devour the first eight books one after the other and only had to wait for the final two.

Really ties things up nicely, with enough twists and turns to keep it interesting. I also love the tie ins to the other M.R. Forbes books

10 books later and I loved the ending but that’s the thing about this series one book ends and you hate it’s finished but look forward to the next, now this is the last one I’m gutted haha.Hopefully Ben pops up somewhere else sometime because I’m going to read other books and future books from Forbes for sure!

I enjoyed the first few of this series , right up to when the main character started playing guitar riffs to travel the galaxy!That just pushed things too far, in fact I find it insulting, maybe this book is aimed at Beavis & Butthead, but of course they would never read a book.If like to have made it to the end, enjoyed a good ending to the series, but i couldn't even make it half way, I'm done.
