Cute. Make sure it resets
This thing is cute. It does need time to come down from a reading. I found that if you wipe it off with a paper towel before reading different plants it works... if you don't do that it doesn't work that well.

Cute & Functional!
So cute! It seems to work perfectly. The instructions say to remove between uses but I plan to leave it in. My mother used to have this little guy in another color and it never seemed to have issues while keeping permanent residence in the soil. I would definitely recommend. It stayed dry when dry and wet when wet- pretty straight forward! A must have when you’re nursing plants that are sensitive to over watering!

Arrived incomplete
Cute but mine arrived with only one eyeball, so he looks funny. I’d return him but I’m desperate to try and save this pretty fern so I need the water gauge ASAP. Any chance AM Conservation will send me an eye?

RIP OFF
Cute. DOES NOT READ WATER LEVELS AT ALL. I thought okay, maybe I was wrong about my plants water level even though they are over a year old and wonderful. The reading on this "thing" was in red, meaning dry. I could not believe this having tested all six plants and all had same reading. I thought maybe I am wrong, maybe they do need water. So I waited two days with the same reading. I filled each plant with even more water than usual. Quess what? Right. Still gave the reading in red the plants were dry. Too much problem to return it. So if you want a cute lady bug to put into your plant to look at, fine, its cute. If you want to know about your plants, total rip-off

NOT RELIABLE !!! UPDATE: OR.. IS POT SIZE an issue ????
It worked for a short time ! Reading then became all the same, in the red (dry). So I put it in a glass of water and it still showed in the red (dry) . I mean really... no wonder plants were suffering, ... didn't last, what a piece of junk. By the way ; it has not been dropped, handled rough, nor kept in any plant's soil. Also, I do not have children that could have played with it. Review rate 1 star.UPDATE : I had written the above and here is an update of perhaps why... Review rate now 3 stars.I may have been wrong. I had given this product a BAD review earlier today, but I thought I would try again. Just for chuckles, I thought I would tested it in 1/3 cup of water & it showed a reading of "red (dry "). Later after previous review I tried again showing my hubby only this time used a TALL glass of water. SURPRISE !!! .. ..it registered "green (moist)". It seems one has to able to use a good length of the probe in checking soil. IF SO.. what if some of your pots are small, not much height for probe to register, right ?. And that's where it didn't register correctly for me ... on the small shallower pots. I guess it may be an issue, OR, it's a fickle bug water meter (?).

No more overwatering
I'm new to the gardening world and noticed my plants were not doing well. After some reading I realized I had a lot to learn about watering plants. I was over watering and yet I tried placing an inch using my finger to see if dirt felt dry or moist. That method wasn't working so I ordered this cute guy and sure enough, he takes the guess out of it! I wipe off and place in different pots or my garden and sure enough, the gage changes to let me know if the ground is too wet, moist or needs some water! I love it and may be ordering a few more to leave with each plant!

Game Changer
The media could not be loaded. This is a simple tool that keeps me.from.iber watering my plants. I stick it in the soil to the level of the roots and it clearly indicates dry, moist or wet. I know which plants need water and which can wait. Just wipe off any reminding soil between plants. It measures instantly.
