The Elements of Style , 4th Edition

The book is brilliant. This edition is atrocious. It's obviously been done as a scan/OCR of a previous edition, and then printed without being proofread. The line spacing varies wildly; the font changes size and between serif/sans-serif randomly; tabulation is all over the place; spaces are omitted; in some places, '$' is printed instead of 's'. The statement on the back cover that this is an "elegantly typeset edition" is a joke. That a book dedicated to excellence in writing should be published in such an edition is just appalling.
