I love that this book provides stellar photos of many variations of stones. For example, it provides photos of the Jade family (jadeite, nephrite) - most books only show photos of one variation and the quality of the photos don’t show the true colors. This book shows the true colors, variations, striations, intricacies, details, etc. I also love that this book is beginner and advanced-friendly. So - whether you’re just starting out or already have an abundance of knowledge, this book will be your best friend. You get the science and the metaphysical. In addition to all of this - I love that there is SO MUCH information! It explains which part(s) of the country crystals come from; in the appendix you will learn which stones work well for different scenarios and why (sleep, manifestation, passion. At the beginning of the book you will learn about sourcing and caring for crystals, how to clean them, cleanse them, charge and program them. You will learn about the sacred geometry of crystals as well. And the crystals are all in alphabetical order. BONUS with this book: you can use it as an Oracle!!! Ask a question, flip it to a page and you can read the “magical message for you” portion of the description. FINALLY a book that has it ALL. Crystalpedia is the ONLY book you’ll ever need for crystals. Athena, the author, is the one and only person I trust for any of my crystals. This book covers EVERYTHING, you’ll never have to guess what that crystal should be used for, where the crystals (stones) came from, when they were found, where to place on your body for meditation, or healing, plus she has pictures of the crystals in the book. The book is written for the newer person and the experienced person working with crystals. She’s got EVERYTHING you’ll need covered in this book. This is one book that I plan on always having with me. I’m VERY grateful for this book. Anytime I want to know what a crystal should be used for, I consult Athena, and no one else. In my opinion she’s the VERY BEST, MOST KNOWLEDGABLE, person when it comes to crystals. I’ve learned a lot from this beautiful author and I’m glad that I found her. Trust me when I say “it’s the ONLY book on crystals you’ll ever need”. Once you get the book, you’ll see what I’m talking about. As a long-time follower of Dr. Athena Perrakis, I had been anticipating the release of this book for a while.. but when it arrived, it absolutely exceeded my expectations! I own several different crystal identification/metaphysical property description books, and 'Crystalpedia' is the best one I've ever seen by a long shot. The photos of each crystal are more detailed and accurate than any I've ever read, making it easier to identify gems and minerals than ever. On top of that, it's easy to navigate and more descriptive of each crystal than any similar book, and also contains origin stories and fun facts that have made me WANT to learn and study more about gems and minerals. I've learned so much new information about my favorite gemstones that I never even knew already. I would recommend this book for everyone, from those who are brand new to gems and minerals, to those who have been working with them for decades. You will be surprised at how much you'll learn from the content in Crystalpedia. :)

So happy with this book that i had to come here and write a review. Its perfect for beginners like me. Its has the basic info and history about the crystal but most of the information is how to use them for healing. Also love how it tells you which crystals you can pair with each other.

… this is better Gorgeous cover, very well laid out. Alphabetical listings make it easy to navigate. A good amount of info comes with each entry and the photos are gorgeous. I think this book can sit comfortably with any of the great tomes by Hall, Melody, Simmons et al for now. In a few years I wouldn’t mind an expanded edition 😘
