The sprinkler timer needs 2x AAA batteries (not supplied). It was easy to fit, the only small issue was the connection to the tap - due to the profile of our outside tap an extra rubber seal was put into tap connector part of the timer.This is a great product. It allows you to set the time for the water to flow, the length of time you want it to stay on and turns the water off. It was easy to set the timer/length of time on/off. Would recommend.

I did almost send this back because you need to screw it on quite a lot to get a seal. The problem was overcome by adding 4 washers before attaching it to the tap that solved the problem. You may not encounter this on a long necked tap but on a short necked tap you will quickly understand what I am talking about.Inclusion of extra washers would have giver 5 stars

Plus no tools needed, just hand tighten, in fact they advise only to hand tighten.The listing says it uses 2 x AAA 1.5v batteries, but it actually uses 2 x AA 1.5v - only a minor error, but an expensive one if you buy a pack of AAA just for this. Other than that the listing description is correct.It's a solid piece of kit, the battery compartment looks to be fully waterproof, which did take a bit of pulling to open to insert the batteries.I'm looking forward to setting this up....when the rain stops and we get some better weather! Just programme it and forget about the veg plot, this will do the work for you

The media could not be loaded. I am still struggling to set up my ESOW Sprinkler Timer. As you can see from the video, it leaks.I had to buy some plumbing tape which I've used but it is still leaking some. It keeps raining each time I have some time to attend to it, so it's been a challenge so far.I had to use the tap the other day for something else and me and a friend could not figure out how to turn the tap on whilst the ESOW Sprinkler Timer was attached, meaning we had to undo the whole gadget just to use the tap and attach a hose as it did not seem to have a method whereby we could bypass the timer to use the tap normally.So I would imagine in that situation, I would need to buy a dual outside garden tap adaptor and place this ESOW Sprinkler Timer on one of them so that I could use the other tap for normal garden hose use.It still isn't set up yet as I need to sort out the leak. It was also a challenge for me to do the programming. I found it a bit complicated in programming the days. So at the moment, as it's still leaking, I have been unable to test it out fully. It's been a painful experience because of the leaking.Once and if I am able to get the leaking under control, and sort out the programming, and test it out, I'll update in due course; and/or if it won't stop leaking, I'll also update as if it continues to leak, I can't use it.

This smart looking unit attaches to the 1”/26mm diameter threaded spout of a conventional garden tap. The threaded collar that engages the tap includes a sealing washer but this only engages if the tap is screwed about 10mm into the collar, which was not achievable with my tap. Coupled with the rather loose thread, the collar allows water to spray out of the upper end when water pressure is applied, and this is only remedied with the inclusion of one or more additional sealing washers and wrapping the tap thread in PTFE tape (neither of which is provided) before assembly.The inlet includes a wire gauze filter which may be useful if the water supply is from e.g. a water butt rather than the mains. The filter is quite easy to remove and clean if necessary.Setting the time/date and entering programmes is relatively simple, with the different items (start time, duration, frequency) being initiated by rotating the selector knob on the front of the unit and using “+” and “OK” buttons to increase and switch between values. In a quirk (flagged throughout the instructions) you have to rotate the selector to a different item to save a sequence of settings: if you again press the “OK” button it returns you to the start of the process.For manual watering, you have the selector knob in the “ON” position and press the “OK” button, and the water flow starts a few seconds later. The default is to automatically turn off again after 10 minutes, but the “+” button can be used to set an on time of 1 minute to 8 hours. To stop the flow at any point you either press the “OK” button again, or turn the selector knob the “OFF” and then back to “ON” again.Overall, this is a relatively simple to programme and use unit that is slightly spoiled by the difficulties in achieving a water-tight supply connection.

We chose this for my father-in-law's garden to help him minimize the work and it seems to work well. It's sturdy, easy to install, easy to use, good quality and worth having. My father in law is very satisfied so far it is working great and not leaking.

Ho usato questo orologio da irrigazione con timer della Esow per rendere del tutto automatica, in unione con un tubo gocciolatore, l’irrigazione della mia piccola zona del mio giardino adibita ad orto.Ho usato per prima volta un oggetto di questo tipo piu di venti anni fa ormai, e questo timer ha piu o meno ha le stesse funzionalità di allora, il che non è necessariamente un aspetto negativo, anzi, visto che si puo senz’altro dire che sia dotato di tutto cio che serve per adempiere alla propria funzione. L’elettrovalvola funziona perfettamente e sembra comunque dotata di tutti i meccanismi di protezione che la tengono comunque chiusa in tutti i casi possibili di malfunzionamento. La programmazione degli intervalli di irrigazione ha tutte le funzionalità che servono in termini di periodicità, e la loro programmazione è abbastanza semplice (non semplicissima però).Non manca (e guai se mancasse perché alla fine è una di quelle che si usano piu spesso) la possibilità di aprire il rubinetto in maniera manuale, all’istante, e di impostare un intervallo di apertura, valido solo per quella singola volta (il defualt è 10 minuti). Molto usato anche il tasto OFF, che sovrascrive istantaneamente qualsiasi impostazione, presente o futura: utile nei giorni di pioggia o semplicemente quando si ritiene che il grado di irrigazione sia sufficiente. Manca tuttavia un ingresso per un sensore di umidità, presente in altri modelli, anche della stessa fascia di prezzo.Altro aspetto da sottolineare è il display: è ampio e ricco di informazioni, anche ben disposte e facili da visualizzare, anche in pieno sole.Per quanto riguarda l’installazione, non ho riscontrato alcun problema, mi è stato sufficiente il raccordo presente nella confezione. In ogni caso, se cosi non fosse, il timer è predisposto per adattarsi a tubi da ½ che da ¾ e gli eventuali pezzi mancanti sono facilmente reperibili in qualsiasi ferramenta. Aiutandomi anche con del nasto al teflon non ho riscontrato alcuna perdita d’acqua.In conclusione, mi sembra comunque un prodotto pratico ed affidabile, e questo è quello che conta di piu, soprattutto quando si è fuori casa e si ha un po di timore ad affidare la gestione di un tubo dell’acqua ad un oggetto di questo tipo. Punta molto sulla semplicità d’uso, con buoni risultati devo dire. Lo consiglio pienamente.

Hier gibt es einen sehr schlichten Bewässerungstimer, nicht mehr und nicht weniger. Es gibt drei Programme und die Zeiten sind flexibel wählbar. Falls einem diese Funktionen reichen, braucht es eben nicht immer mehr. Sonst kann man recht schnell den Überblick verlieren. Was ich nur etwas schade finde ist das Design. Mit der heutigen Technik und dank den eben angesprochenen überschaubaren Funktionen sollte der Timer doch deutlich kleiner sein. Es ist eine sehr klobige Größe, die ihren Platz braucht.
