Spear & Jackson4938PS 9inch Fixed Blade Pruning Saw, Silver

Small, sharp Pruning Saw which cuts through branches quickly. Needs getting used to because the teeth are rather course; also quite aggressive. As with most Pruning Sawa the cut can be ragged, might need cleaning up/Would buy again.

With a good name like Spear and Jackson you expect a quality saw and this did not disappoint us, it’s a great little saw and really sharp so does the job in half the time and comes with a protection sheaf too, it’s well worth the price

I like it because of the reasonable price but it’s not as sharp or efficient as an ARS(Japanese) saw which now cost £60.

Wife used this to bring unruly tree under control and she was happy with it - good cuts and light for her to use.

Great quality saw, ergonomic and in a very useful holster with a belt hook. The kind of quality typical of Spear and Jackson tools.

Lovely to handle, very lightweight. Design enables me to get inbetween awkward branches of shrubs, but this isn't as sharp as I thought it would be. Disappointed, to be honest.

I bought this to tackle a laurel hedge, which has multiple, thick woody stems growing close together. This makes it difficult or impossible to use long handled pruners, but this pruning saw is easy to manoeuvre and did the job effectively.

What a brilliant saw not the biggest but it don’t need to be extremely sharp got it to prune a tree did this with ease sham I didn’t have a before and after photo was quite a large tree basically nothing left of tree spear and Jackson for anything sharp ta Jasmin
