Use this mixed in with compost and sometimes perlite, good potting mix that retains water well for my spuds and Tom's. Helps break up heavy soil when planting in the ground too. As no nutrients don't use it alone. Minimal plastic packaging, just the tape on the cardboard box, easy to store and move around. Just leave a block in a trug when it rains and voila.

Got these for my 83yr old mother as she loves her garden and is very independent!I know it’s not rocket science but she rang to say there were no instructions lolTold her to just add water a litre at a time till it soaks it all up!The sample I had did have instructions on it so she was a little confused but is pleased with the ease of use and space saved on compost!

Very pleased with this one.The bricks seemed smaller than the ones I usually use, but felt just as heavy. When soaked, it produced the same amount - it was just compacted better. Good quality, fluffy stuff without lots of fibre to pick through.Not too much plastic in the packaging either! That combined with the more compact size of the bricks surely makes it a better choice in terms of carbon footprint from transport and plastic pollution?

Used for bedding/ground in our reptile enclosures. Absolutely amazing value for money. Will definitely be ordering more

Bricks easy to use and lighter to carry

The delivery was made promptly, but arrived in a very soggy box which was disintegrating.Bearing in mind the nature of the contents ie adding water makes them swell, it’s a wonder his van wasn’t filled with compost! The box had obviously been in water for quite some time.

These are a little wonder pop them in water and they expand. I think I managed 4-5 trays with one block. Easy to store let’s see how the seeds react.
