How much weight can the hooks hold without the provided screws and using your own screw, anchor plugs to drywall? weight holding cap on hook only

How do you secure the sides or top so the mirror doesn't fall?

I wouldn't use metal to secure a mirror. Plastic alternatives are out there. i used them for shelf supports in my greenhouse.
