I used to work as a sales associate in a buyer before a fact for a fabric store that was owned by a tailor and this book is very informative not only do I have a chance to brush up on my textiles but I also have a chance to know how these textiles are produced and made you're very informative if I ever find myself landing into that field again as far as being a textiles buyer then I will be better for informed and better equipped to answer all the questions that my clients have about a certain textile that they're purchasing and I feel that as a designer knowing your textiles is imperative this book is definitely agreed educational tool for any fashion student whether they're studying design or fashion marketing this book is a great tool and also for personal interest is also a great 👍will urge anyone to invest in this 🔥 book for professional and educational purposes and for personal interest /a hobby

I've been a qualified dressmaker, for many years, but only use my skills for making clothes etc. for myself and family. I recently ordered a book with fabric samples, I should have bought years ago, I like to buy fabric locally, but very rarely see something I like that is suitable. I realized this book is usually bought with the other book I ordered that has the fabric samples. I recently received this book, and am enjoying it. A lot of it so far is stuff I already know, but not all of it. I'm hoping this book and the sample book will give me an idea of what fabrics to buy on line. Often I see fabric, but I'm not usually sure if it's what I'm looking for. I'm really enjoying this book, it's great to see the pictures of clothes and learn more about the fabric that is used. I'm expecting the book with the samples today,

This book is amazing! I teach textiles and was struggling to find a textbook for my own personal use to create lectures that included strong information on textile fibers. I got this book and absolutely love it. The book is very easy to follow with great graphics and images. The fibers are classified clearly throughout the chapters. And the information is very rich and provides great details about fiber history, production, and use. I would definitely recommend this book if you're interested in learning more about textile fibers! It also provides a great overview of fashion fabrics and basic textile terminology.

Very well done and informative. Beautifully photographed and includes information about natural and man-made fabrics. A must-have for fashion and textile students, instructors. and anyone interested in knowing more about fibers - old and new.

This book has a lot of good content. I love that it has covers natural fibers as well as man made fiber. As someone who enjoys making clothes, it's nice to have a resource to reference back and determine whether the fabric will work with the design.

I bought the online one, on amazon kindle and not that fan of it beucase confuses you with the pictures and doesn't make to read it with pleasure The book it's self is really nice, the only minus that I gave is because reading it online on tablet or laptop is not that comfortable . Better buy a hardcover or paperbag : )

My paperback book is black and white including images...which does not make any sense to a reader especially when you purchasing it for relatable information along with pictures ...in my experience, the paperback version is good when you are looking for novels and simply written textbook but if you are interested in purchasing design-related content with a number of color images always go for a hardcover version.

Love this book. Very interesting read. As an amateur sewer, I was keen to learn more about fabrics. There is plenty of fascinating history and background information written in a very accessible way. It's going to be invaluable as a reference when I've finished reading it through

Very nice book, very detailed but unfortunately delivered with a big dent. Thats why I can only give 3 instead of 5. Couldn't return it because I needed it right now.
