It's not a quick job to put them on. You'll definitely need a hairdryer or some source of focused heat. It needs to be heated to uncurl it, then cut to the correct size(s) for front and back arches, then heated as you apply it to the car, to give it that malleability so it can be bent and stuck to the rim. But I managed to do it myself no problem, just takes a bit of time, but it's worth it, looks really smart and is excellent value for money.07 Jul 2021 - Quick update. I still have the wheel arches in place, but i had to replace the adhesive strip on all of them. Not at the same time, but they all started to come unstuck over the course of the last couple of months. I found a roll of adhesive on Amazon that does the job so much better, but it is a real pain to replace them, as they do remove some paintwork, which will need touching up, i even had a bit of rust under one, which I had to sort out. Then you have to remove the spongy remains of the old adhesive strip. I used a screwdriver the scrape it off, then apply the new aggressive strip. They still look good now they're back on, but i would suggest taking off the adhesive they come with and putting on a new lot before you even apply them. ### ⭐⭐ 2.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing Adhesive Wheel Arch Protector *by I***N on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 6 July 2023* I recently purchased the E-TECH Chrome Car Wheel Arch Guard Paintwork Protector in the 5-meter adhesive roll, but unfortunately, I was quite disappointed with the product.Firstly, the adhesive quality of this wheel arch protector is subpar. Despite following the instructions carefully and ensuring a clean surface, the adhesive did not hold up well. The protector started peeling off within a few days of application, especially in areas exposed to rain or high temperatures. This lack of adhesion is a significant drawback, as the main purpose of the product is to provide protection and longevity for the car's paintwork.The overall quality of the protector is also questionable. The chrome finish initially appeared appealing, but upon closer inspection, it revealed signs of poor craftsmanship. The edges were uneven and had rough cuts, giving it a cheap and unrefined look. Additionally, the material itself felt thin and flimsy, lacking the durability required to withstand the rigors of everyday driving.The length provided in the 5-meter roll was suitable for my car, allowing for complete coverage of the wheel arches. However, cutting and shaping the protector to fit the contours of the arches was more challenging than anticipated due to the thin and brittle nature of the material. It required extra effort to achieve a clean and seamless installation.Moreover, the adhesive residue left behind after removing the protector was difficult to clean off. Despite using recommended cleaning agents, there were stubborn marks and residue left on the paintwork, requiring additional polishing and effort to restore the car's appearance.Overall, the E-TECH Chrome Car Wheel Arch Guard Paintwork Protector was a disappointment.
