This pen is easy to use and works very well. The glue holds up excellently for English paper piecing, I haven't had any problems with it coming undone and I mistreat my hexies quite a bit.

Love this washable glue pin for paper piecing. Gives a nice size line if glue to hold fabric in place without mess. I would definately purchase extra glue sticks after being used to using a bigger glue stick!

I am in process of making a hexed quilt. After thread basting several hundred pieces, I saw a clip about this product. I admit I was skeptical having used fabric glue stick to baste applique pieces and found the resulting product and process to be an absolute mess. However, I thought I would give it a try just to see if this was any better. It absolutely is. The pen shape allows you to control the width of the glue you are putting down and the gel format seems smoother. This keeps things, including your hands, neat and tidy. As well, you do not need to dampen the glue to remove the EPP papers. The fabric lifts up easily from the paper. Since you are not thread basting, you save time, too, by not having to pull out the basting stitches. It’s a keeper!

This really is a game changer for English paper piecing. It doesn’t do the best job on some thicker/stiffer cottons, but it still works. It doesn’t make the fabric hard and overly sticky like you’d expect from glue. It does exactly as it says it will do. Having the extra refill is a must too, because you will run out quicker than you’d expect. Still a great value regardless!
