Heartbreaking yet so much comfort.
It's durable and weather proof. I have it in a low tree branch positioned where i can see it from anywhere in the yard. It is close to where my GSD is buried. It has been outside for over a year now....all weather elements and does not fade or corrode. I didn't need the stand because I have it perfectly positioned within the tree.

Best gift for a friend dealing with loss!
I had never seen anything like this item until my neighbor gifted me one upon the death of my 23-year old parrot. As a very aggressive shopper, I was shocked I didnt know this gift even existed. From now on, I won't hesitate to gift this item from this specific company to any friend/colleague or family member that loses their pet. When I received this headstone/memorial for my beloved parrot, I cried. I recently ordered this for a neighbor who lost her dog due to an accident and she cried (out of joy from the thoughtful gift).Quality for the price was unbelievable. For such an affordable price, the item looked really high quality. I made a mistake when ordering the item. Turned to the seller to figure out to do and I couldn't imagine a seller with better customer service than this one. Within a day or two of receiving my request, they responded and offered to replace the item for a very low/fair price.Do not hesitate to buy this for anyone you love that has suffered a loss of a pet etc. The price is a fractional percentage of its value to the person you give it to me. This item deserves 1000 stars for the price, quality and customer service!
