will this work for hp 8000 elite sff?

It probably will BUT BEFORE you get this RAM make sure your processor/system will be able to utilize more than 4gb. of memory. My Dell with Win. 7 and a core 2 duo isn't able to utilize any more than 4gb. of physical RAM. Check the HP website specs for your particular machine. I bought two of these, removed 2- 1gb modules and inserted these but the system showed 6 gb. but only 4gb. of actual available usable memory. So in my case I wasted money and gained absolutely nothing!

Sure won't hurt to add more RAM. Will it be worth the cost? Depends on your HDD capacity/speed, processor, what programs you're running i.e. many factors.
