HaywardW3RC9990CUB TigerShark QC Robotic Pool Cleaner with Quick Clean for In-Ground Pools up to 20 x 40 ft. (Automatic Pool Vacuum)

Have used this pretty much daily x 2 seasons (June to mid-Oct) including the post-build clean-up. It has picked up loose screws from the build (in-ground liner pool) and cleaned up as we opened the pool after the first winter. I have used 1 new set of filters per season (used the old set the first week of opening the pool then discarded them and replaced with a new set for the 2nd season). Daily use & the robot has been durable. Even caught a hose in it and that was easily removed and didn't damage the robot. Don't have a remote control unit and it doesn't track where it has been/programmable etc. - just the basic model & it's done the job well. Filters are easy to remove and rinse.

Works very well. Cleans water line. Hope it lasts 12 years like the last one.

This is our second Hayward Vac. This first one from 7 years ago still works, but we wanted a newer one, and if something happens we still have the old one as a backup. We tried that with another vac, but after being sent back twice, it quit again, the warranty ended, and we were not getting it fixed again.This one is worse for getting the dirt out of the corners of the pool, so we have to sweep the corners with the brush. Pretty easy to open up to clean.

We had a Tiger Shark pool cleaner for years and were very happy with it. It picked up everything, including lots of sand our dog would transport into the pool when he would roll around in it wet and then come back in, to swim. Sadly, our dog passed away, and now even without sand being an issue, our new Tiger Shark could not clean our lightly dirty pool bottom. We tried running it through a few cycles over a matter of days, and when we opened it to clean the filters, there was hardly anything trapped in the filters and sadly, no noticeable difference on the pool bottom. I always liked my old unit. I was very disappointed in this lemon.

I bought the Hayward Robotic Pool Cleaner, but I am very disappointed in the length of the electrical cord. I do not recall the description stating the length of the electrical cord prior to my purchase. But the cord is very short, maybe only 6 ft long. The manual tells you to keep the control box at least 11 1/2 feet away from the edge of the pool to prevent electrical shock. Common sense to me would then say that you have at least a 12 ft cord on the control box. So I cannot keep it 11 1/2 ft away from the edge of the pool because the cord provided is too short. And the manual says do NOT plug into an extension cord because that will possibly cause damage, and your warranty would be voided. So I can't plug it into an extension cord, and I can't plug it in directly to an electrical plug because I do not have one installed in the pool deck close to the pool. So the only place that I can plug the control box in is on an electrical box under the roof of my house. So I have to put it on a ladder, (or a tower of bricks) that is unsafe in my opinion, to plug it directly into the electrical socket, and then I can operate the pool vacuum.I wrote Hayward to ask how I could get a longer electrical cord, but so far I haven't gotten a response.
