Power and Warmth
On one side there are strings that focus on power and projection like the Peter Infelds. On the other side there are warm strings with more texture like Evah Pirazzi Gold or Obligato. But usually there is a bit of a trade-off between these two types of strings. Not anymore. The Dynamo strings have both the power and projection of the PI, but maintain the warmer textured sound as well. This is truly remarkable in a string. If you want more of an explanation, look up the videos of Ray Chen discussing these strings on Youtube. (Although he plays with a Stradivarius, which I'm sure has a lot more influence than the strings.)

These strings are awesome...
These strings (on my second set) have brought out the most sound, power, playability and longevity than anything I have had on this violin/fiddle (Irish Trad gal) since I have owned it. Very satisfied.

Long-lived powerful sound
Yes, they’re expensive. I bought these at a friend’s suggestion, because I was looking for the “right” strings. Ha! Well, they’re game-changers—rich, powerful sound and a long life. They’re also soft under the fingers and respond quickly.

WOW! These strings are a WINNER!
I'm a professional violinist playing for over 30 years. I was really excited to learn about these new Thomastik strings. Reviews were coming out from people that go a preview of them, how outstanding they were, so when they finally became available to the public, I looked them up. But ugh, they are VERY expensive, the most expensive strings that I've ever seen. I went ahead and ordered them and put them on my violin and almost instantly, AMAZING sound! I previously used Thomastik Vision, they're only about $50, a third the price of these. But they have even greater clarity, warmth with a lot of colors and fast response, pretty much every quality is better than the Vision strings. They really have everything players look for these days. Whatever they put into these string is a big improvement. I really hope these last a long time on my violin due to the high cost. I've had them just a few days now and they just keep sounding better and better as they break in.I am SO impressed and highly recommend them if you can afford them. I just got my second pair in the mail today at work and can't wait to get home to put them on my second violin tonight.

Expensive But Worth It
I really like these strings. They are pricey but worth it, even for an amateur violinist. The tone is very lively and bright with real clarity. They settled in within a day of putting them on and keep the pitch well.

Dramatic difference
I am an amateur violinist who generally plays only during Sunday Mass. I knew my old violin needed new strings so I did a little research, having only used lower-end strings previously. Ray Chen’s videos pretty much sold me on the DY100s, and even though I was a bit apprehensive installing them, I followed his instructions without too much trouble. The only difficulty was inserting the ball ends into my tuners, however I finally got them seated properly. The new sound is so much brighter! Sounded beautiful in today’s Mass. I will buy these again.

Both light and airy with robust sound if wanted
great light, playable string, plenty of air in the sound. The color can get deep if you put weight into it, without going down in pitch. Amazing sound, however don’t over tune since they tend to stretch alittle faster than other strings. Id say these are the best strings you can get for about a month and then they start to decline, so if your wallet can handle it these are probably the best string for any professional. Also, very playable as well! It was a breath of fresh air after playing pirazzi golds and passiones.edit - after roughly a year with these strings, i realize they get loose quickly and don’t do you any favors if you have a bow on the heavy side for difficult passage work
