Tourte-Style Rubber Cello Mute: One-Hole Model

I know it's not meant to dramatically decrease the sound, but the volume alteration is really minimal

Probably my fault for not reading the description. Only attaches to a single string, so it falls off, and is very small for a cello. My son lost it within a week of purchase.

Works great. Sounds like a mute.It has slits in the sides of the string holes, so you do not have to remove strings to put it on. They probably all do, but I'm a beginner, so I wasn't sure that that would be the case.

If you are considering buying this, you know exactly what it does. All I can really say is that it does what you know it does. No issues, no surprises.

Works like a charm. BUT BE WARNED, it comes in black not brown. lol

Not as pictured. Answered question #4 said it is two hole exactly as the pic, which is a lie. I am returning this mute because the one hole does not have as much effect as the two hole in the picture.

Worked perfectly for my son who plays Cello at school and in a local preparatory orchestra. Nuff said.
