I have only had these for 6 months now and they have stopped working. I had a similar issue with the Govee lights under the eave of my house. It doesn't appear that these things hold up well to the elements, but I will reach out to Govee and report back if their customer service team is worth buying more products from them or not. Update: their customer service is very hassle free. They sent me a replacement and not long after I had a similar issue and they gave a full refund. Although I had issues with the lights, I’ll still continue to order from Govee. Their customer support makes it all worth it.

These Govee spotlights completely exceeded my expectations! The brightness is impressive, and the colors are so vibrant—perfect for adding mood lighting indoors or highlighting outdoor décor. The app control is super user-friendly, and I love how many color options, scenes, and settings there are. They feel really sturdy, the cords are a good length, and the lights respond instantly to changes in the app. I also loved the music-sync feature—such a fun touch for parties or holidays. Overall, these spotlights are high-quality, reliable, and make any space look amazing with barely any effort. Highly recommend!

Re-edited to add the replacement set also stopped working after a few weeks. This looks like a well-packaged and quality built product, but does NOT work. It was the driest summer on record, so weather was not a factor. ETA: Bumping up a few stars after Customer service reached out with apology and support - the spotlights themselves work fine, but all the artwork and images on the box that depict holiday scenes do not indicate that they come from a combination of products (curtain lights, etc.). Even the app for the spotlights has settings for the holiday scenes, but instead of a Christmas tree, you just get red and green lights. I can get the same effect MUCH cheaper

Bought the 4 pack. 2 of the lights died after my exchange period Very disappointed. I then bought the 2 pack after reading reviews I sealed the rim With clear silicone caulk. So far no water got in. Love the lights, but they need better quality for that price

We have other products made by Govee to include the curtain lights, outdoor strip lights, christmas lights, and outdoor permanent lights. So we’ve only begun to touch the surface on these Govee spotlights. So far the two pack are bright enough to light up one half side of our house. I might buy more to light up the tree in the future. My only concern in longevity as I’ve read other reviews talk about water getting inside. So far we’ve had two rain storms and everything is fine. We keep the controller and electrical in a water tight box. I only plan on using these lights from Nov to Jan then I’ll store them with some of my other lights. I like that it can all be integrated and grouped together with the other govee products. The picture I posted is the two spotlights at 50% brightness. It’s way too bright at 100%, and the lower you make it the longer the lights will last, hopefully. Can’t wait to see what it’ll look like next year once I get everything connected. Hopefully, I’ll remember to come back and provide an update if anything changes. Overall, very happy with govee products!

I liked these spotlights from Goove. Easy to install and the app that controls the lights was simple to follow. Till the rains did not come, it was working fine and I was very happy with the purchase. And then it started raining. On 2nd day of the rains, I noticed my holiday lights were off. Upon investigating it looked like GFCI outlet had tripped. These spotlights were the only addition to my existing holiday light setup. I reset the outlet but it kept on tripping indicating some issue. I took these spotlights off the circuit and everything started working fine. Looked inside the lights and I could see water droplets inside. The product is marketed as water proof which I think is misleading. The manufacturer should fix the design. Since I am within the return window, these are going back for a refund. Overall, a really nice product if they can truly make it waterproof. Otherwise, it is a waste of money.

I have many Govee lights and they all have a high build quality. Customer service is great too, on the rare occasion you need them. The app has tons of features, which some people might find complicated but I like to play with things to figure them out. Once you figure this app out, it starts to make sense and is actually pretty easy to use. I know there are cheaper options out there, but the colors of these are very bright and seem pretty accurate to me. Add that to the high build quality, and powerful app, and these win overall. I used these to illuminate some trees in my yard and parts of my fence. They worked great. They even work with my home automation system (Home Assistant) which is not needed, but a nice feature to have. Highly recommended!

Buy these knowing that you may get one year maximum out of these lights before they fail. They will just not come on, you will go through support to attempt to fix, it won’t work and the device will say connection failed. Don’t do anything else but return them after—-trust me when I say I have lost days troubleshooting. Constantly failure but you can return under warranty. Mine last almost 10 months if I am lucky.

Nice lights and good metal construction. Easy enough to control with the app and set colours, timers etc. The app is responsive and hasn’t had any trouble connecting. The screw mechanism for attaching the ground stake is well done and secure. Lost a star because you can’t link multiple spot light kits (2 lights each) together to use only 1 plug. So each set you install will need it’s own dedicated plug. Also, as it notes in the description the plug brick and separate switch are NOT waterproof… so you need to place them strategically outside if you want them to last. One more negative they could improve on is the preset light programs - they are all very fast and most are annoying for a backyard setting. LOL Only 1 or 2 are actually usable. It looks like there is a way in the app to make your own, but I haven’t been able to figure it out. But as simple spot lights you can control with your phone or a timer, they are pretty good.
