10X Clear Plastic Paperback Book Covers 198MM

The media could not be loaded. I’m not exaggerating when I confess I have a book problem, I’ll never have too many. I’ve collected a rather extensive library over the years, my husband will say I have too many, I say we have too few book cases.Some books I’ve had for decades, read over and over again, which sadly due to the effects of time are a little worse for wear, or well loved.Whilst doing a little book organising I wondered if I could get some covers for my overly loved tomes. I had a browse but didn’t really fancy the sticky backed plastic I remember covering all my school books in as a child. So, I decided on trying these, I grabbed my older delicate copy of The House Of Spirits (a favourite) as soon as they arrived and slid a cover on, soon after I had used up all ten covers on some of my other particular favourites in need of a little added protection.These are BRILLIANT, the best thing I could have done for my more fragile books!They are so easy to put on, the cover doesn’t blur or inhibit the front covers/titles/blurbs in any way at all, and really adds stability to the book itself.With two children and two dogs, things can get spilt, moved around a lot and sometimes damaged, and I do tend to leave my books lying around the house 🤷🏻‍♀️these covers I have no doubt will protect my books from drinks cups, dust, and damage. I’m so so happy with this purchase, and will 100% need more to protect even more of my library. I love that they come in different sizes (these ones are for regular size paperbacks) and I’ll definitely try out different sizes for my larger books in the future. Just remember to measure the books you want the covers for to ensure you receive the correct size. Now I just need the little library cards I can slip inside the cover 😁I highly recommend these covers for any bibliophile that wants to protect their precious books. ✨

Just what I needed to keep my books safe from rips, tears & bent covers when I’m constantly carrying them around in my bag or in the car. Easy to use. Great value. Will definitely get more if I need a different size or to replace. Perfect fit, I did measure & it was spot on.

I had always wanted to protect my paperbacks with these book covers at a great value. Since my existing ones are running low, I have decided to make a further purchase. I am so happy with the quality and fits perfectly with my books. I used to buy these from a bookshop many, many years ago and ever since then they no longer supply these in shops, so therefore resulted in me using sticky covers which were time consuming and most of the time ruined my book. When I came across of this at Amazon, it was a wow factor for me and ordered it. This allowed me to slip the book in and read straight away. Simples and no brainers.

they were not the size i wanted,

I carefully measured my paperback books I wanted to fit these onto. They measure between 196mm and 197mm in height, so I assumed 198mm size meant they could fit paperback books up to 198mm in size.What they fail to mention, is that 198mm is the size of the plastic itself, not the size of book it fits. The seams take at least 2 to 3mm off this 198mm figure, so you cannot fit the books into them at all without damaging the books. So pretty pointless really!Will have to return and look for an alternative supplier.

Good for the price but you do have to get the right size for the books you are dealing with so check carefully. Much better than horrible sticky back plastic.
