Has anyone used this outside to eliminate the smell from rat urine? Got dogs so I'll need to put it on the outside of the fence what is area coverage?

These bags work best in an enclosed area - house, boat, car; but they still require air to circulate through them to remove odors from the air. The customer who mentioned it did not work in the car needed to keep the car windows slightly open to provide the airflow needed for the bags to work.  For your particular issue, you may want to try a a similar product that you can sprinkle on the affected area outside and it should take care of the odor. Can you "recharge" this in the sun the way you can activated charcoal items?  Or is it a one-time use and toss?

Accepted Answer

The minerals used in this product do not "recharge" - they absorb a certain amount of odors. Each bag lasts 3-4 months once removed from plastic packaging. Once used up, the bags contents may be safely disposed of by adding them to gardening soil.  To maximize the bags effectiveness, please purchase the correct number of bags (1 bag covers about 100 sq ft). To deodorize larger rooms, or to do it faster, purchase additional bags, and experiment with their placement. Please make sure there is some air circulation in the room to allow the air to go through the bags and have the odor molecules filtered out.  These bags are most useful when direct contact with the source of smell is not possible (such as a dead critter inside walls of a house).

I'm not sure. They work  fantastic removing odors in the house, the contents are in a fabric bag so they'd probably work in the refrigerator too.

My son's soccer cleat smell horrible. Will this work? Any other suggestions??
