Helpful Exercises and Activities
As with all humans, my self-esteem, self acceptance, and self-love are imperfect. Perhaps because I had a stable childhood, and I've fulfilled a lot of my dreams (such as getting published by a big New York publisher, getting a book into all the libraries, building a successful whitewater rafting enterprise, publishing four action-adventures thriller novels, etc.), I'm fortunate to basically feel goo about myself. But I definitely still have my insecurities and self doubt, so when I saw this book, I thought, "Why not give it a try? Can't do any harm. And who knows, might have some good techniques that I can put to good use." And I am glad I did. Lots of excellent, detailed, step-by-step exercises and activities for building self-compassion, self-esteem, self-love, and self acceptance. Some sections to me do seem a little bit too basic and repetitious. But overall there is lots of good helpful wisdom here!

Building Self-Confidence From Within
If you've ever felt overwhelmed by self-doubt or stifled by your inner critic, there's a resource that promises to be a beacon of hope. It's a workbook designed to boost self-esteem through cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) and positive psychology. This text isn't just another self-help guide; it's a practical, step-by-step book with exercises that help silence negative self-talk and cultivate a confident, positive mindset. One of the standout features of this workbook is its structured approach, offering various strategies and insights to tackle the roots of low self-esteem. However, the book's text-dense nature might pose a challenge, especially for visual learners. The absence of visual aids such as bolded texts, color highlights, graphics, and charts makes the content seem daunting at times. Such additions would undoubtedly enhance the learning experience, making it easier to digest complex concepts and monitor progress through the exercises.Despite this, the workbook scores well with its detailed exercises and real-life stories that resonate with readers, offering practical steps to embrace a more confident self. Overall, this guide provides valuable tools for anyone looking to embark on a journey of self-discovery and improvement, making it a nice addition to a personal development library.

Great info!
Super excited to sit down and commit the time to going thru this book! As an 80s baby, I feel our generation didn't get much education on emotions & support so now at 36yrs old I've finally committed to investing in my health physically and mentally! There's not enough attention on this issue for 30 & 40yr old or older generations yet we're the ones who are responsible for teaching the future. I'm so grateful Marcce took the time to really educate and challenge the readers with an interactive workbook and gave it away for so many to benefit at zero cost! 3 months into this self discovery way of life and already noticing the change in behavior, thought patterns, and ways to imply it to each circle in my life i.e. family, friends, work, and kids. Thank you.

a good summary
A GOOD SUMMARY. This book provides a sound summary and overview of contemporary research on the psychology of self esteem and the benefits of CBT. Although CBT is not for everyone, the research does show that many people benefit from it when struggling with issues like low self esteem. The author's approach to the topic is gentle and respectful of the reader and offers a great deal of kind encouragement. She also repeats her key messages several times throughout the book which, I think, is deliberate - to ensure that readers take those points on board. Solid examples and / or case studies to illustrate the key points would have brought great depth to the book, I feel. For anyone new to the topic, though, this book is an excellent starting point.

Boring , long winded
Didn’t like this book at all, doesn’t give any information on how to actually build up your self esteem it’s more explaining reasons why you may feel low. Wasn’t what I expected the title is misleading
