I purchase this item because my Predator 212cc engine (Honda clone) would start fine when cold, but then cut off after 5 or so minutes and show no spark. The purchased item fit my engine and the coil solved the problem. I didn't use the spark plug because I wanted to confirm that the issue was the coil (which it was). I will save the spark plug for later use. In order to thread the plug wire behind the carb. it was necessary to unscrew the plug boot from the wire (screwed right off). I removed the two nuts that hold the carb cover in place which allowed me to pull the carb forward providing room to route the plug wire. The engine started right up. UPDATE: While running the splitter yesterday, it died on me again. I installed the spark plug that came in the kit and the engine started right up even though it was still hot. Sooo, I should have just changed the sparkplug first since that was the simplest task. I will keep the original coil in case I have a coil failure in the future. I will also get a spare plug to have on hand. The kit solved my problem and I recommend it for those with a Predator 212 engine that dies once it warms up and restarts in a couple hours after it cools down.
