Requires assembly. Will need hobby knife/box cutter and glue.Burnt wood smell exist, will go away over time. (1 weekish)What is shown is what you get. (Main tower, 3rd floor railing, 1st and 2nd floor walls) The walls I got were mostly non-doorway walls but there was enough for the full construction and 1 doorway wall which i used for the second floor.Due to no instructions, take care in the construction of the main tower to insure that the slots for the railway balcony are arranged properly fit into premade slots.My roof piece wasn't a perfect fit for the top but gluing it ensured a solid platform.Customer service was responsive and helpful with any issues I had.

One slight measurement error in the kit with the way the tower fits the upper platform, but it doesn't detract from the look of the structure at all. The burned wood smell is strong at first, but fades after 2 days or so. No painting required, I do recommend having some tack on hand for the gluing process. Best news of all, OUTSTANDING customer care. Responded to me within 12 hours, very friendly and accommodating. Bought another kit immediately because I liked the products so much.

It was fairly easy to build their was a few issues I could only get two of the guard rails to fit in the model I believe two of the wall pieces I damaged while removing from the sprue but that was my fault I do suggest a hobby knife for removing the larger sections at least

Awesome terrain. Love it. Does have a very heavy burnt wood smell. Had to leave it in the garage for a few weeks to get the smell to lessen.

By far one of the best sets in the series. It's rather easy to put together despite lack of instructions, and it's easy to fit other pieces of this same system to it.For anyone complaining about the "burnt wood" smell, that's the nature of laser cut wood products. At the end of the day, these sets are far more environmentally friendly then all the plastic gak that is miniature gaming. Do the planet a favor and go with laser cut wood versus HIPs terrain.

Nothing amazing. Made of fiberboard. Colors ok. I would not recommend for younger medelers or gamers. If it gets wet it will bloat apart. Not very durable.

Went together well, looks great, the bottom walls could use a little more support to stabilize them a bit more, but other then that looks great on my miniatures play mats.

Fantastic value for miniature wargaming. Just beware that the pieces don't always fit together perfectly and this item will smell like burnt/chemical coated wood for quite some time. I would still purchase more products from this seller though. Miniature terrain gets pretty darn expensive.
