This is one of the few nightlatches that can be configured for an out swinging door. However you will need to get an out swing latch plate since the plate that is included will only work for an in swing configuration. Even though this was shipped from the UK to the US it arrived much quicker than expected.

It does not fit all doors and door frames, if you are competent in installing and problem solving then I would recommend this item, if you have to modify the fitting and you're not sure how to do that then don't do it. As far as security is concerned I would give this lock a low rating, overall it does what it's supposed to do but only if you know what you're doing.
