So if you need to protect bandwidth the only work is to go in an configure the Tenda router with a password for users Review: Such a shame *EDITED: pleasantly surprised - Easy to install and gives a good signal to the area of my house that doesn’t receive direct WiFi due to the thickness of my walls. I am not a tech savvy guy and needed something easy to install and use straight away. The signal stayed strong all day and never dropped, giving me 35mbps download speed, which is the same as the WiFi signal coming from the actually modem. (I have only used this for the WiFi booster function and not the WiFi cloning). Unfortunately this all came to an abrupt end when I woke up the next day. Over night, even though it is plugged into the modem via Ethernet cable, the device lost its connection to the modem and would not reconnect until I reset my modem. After speaking to the customer service team, this could be due to the built in power saving mode that can’t be switched off. So I now start every morning by resetting both my modem and booster which is not ideal. Would be a fantastic device if it wasn’t for this issue. *EDIT: after contacting desertcart customer service and explaining the problem I was having they suggested the item maybe faulty. They then sent me a replacement which works perfectly. WiFi signal is just as strong from the booster as it is from the modem and does not cut out or turn off over night. Allows me to work from home without having to worry about the signal cutting out randomly. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great but not for Gamers *by B***S on 18 February 2023* I bought this as I have 1Gbps Fibre from Virgin and I need the fastest connection to my PC. Sadly this delivered less that 150Mbps, look at the reviews now it seems that it is a common problem. Not sure why they advertising it as 1Gbps as I have plugged the adapters into the sockets next to each other and again, didnt get over 150Mbps. We did need the Wifi boosting and for a quick cheap solution this was great. I would get if you are just doing general internet browsing, but for gaming do not recommend at all. I even contacted their support who were great and quick to respond but they just said they didnt know, which wasn't very helpful.
