10QT Horticultural Vermiculite Bulk, Organic Vermiculite for Plants, Course Grade Vermiculite for Gardening, for houseplants, for Mushrooms, to Maintain Soil Moisture and Plant Growth(2-4mm)

The 10QT Horticultural Vermiculite Bulk, Organic Vermiculite for Plants, Course Grade was exactly what I was looking for. It's a good fair amount at an unbeatable price. There was minimal dust (there's gonna be some dust guys, get over it). The chunks are (on average) about half the size of my pinky nailbed. I mixed this with coco coir and made a lovely substrate that holds and releases water nicely. Healthy little guys growing. I will be purchasing this product again.

This had no powder at the bottom: fresh and perfect. Used for mushroom bed as recommended but maybe had grown too cold for growing. Always great in soil for plant health!

You get a large amount of perlite and I used it all! Then ordered more. This really saved my lawn (clover/grass), vegetable garden, flowers and the new trees and bushes. Almost nothing was growing when we moved to a new home. The climate and land are difficult, ranging from very boggy to drought-dry. Perlite balances soil's water content, absorbing or releasing moisture, depending on conditions. It loosens the soil, which was needed in clay areas. Characteristics - minimal dust, some expansion when wet, easy to work with. Caution - perlite and similar products don't contain nutrients, but do replace a small amount of soil, which does contain them. Added nutrients help: compost (Black Earth brand, leaves, etc), other amendments depending on the plant's requirements. Flowers, bushes, trees and vegetables are thriving. Lawn looked great, even with last years record-setting drought. Great product.

The perlite is wonderful!!! I mixed it with soil and bark and my plants are thriving tremendously. I repotted an monstera, pothos, ivy, elephant ears, and some dracaena in this mixture. I repotted 9 plants with just one bag.

Appears to be fairly pure, no stones or sticks found. But it’s very fine. I ordered the 2-4 mm but it is pretty much all 2 mm. Nothing coarser. It’s perfectly serviceable but if I had known it was all going to be so fine I would have ordered a coarser grade. Otherwise as described in the listing.

This was a fantastic price and I love the way its packaged, its in a durable extra large zip lock you don’t have to battle with, I use for my potting soil and it works for me effortlessly, perfect size , worked fantastic, I’d have to say better than store bought, super happy with the purchase. I like buying it like this because it’s not sitting in the dirt longer. I add mine when I repot. I find much better moisture retention and this was not flimsy. will be back

Quality product edit to my soil for my strawberries. Strawberries are going great.

Perlite for the garden for better moisture and nutrient dispersion. Add to potting soil for volume and nutrient & moisture dispersion. Good sized bag at a fair price. I’d prefer a lager bag at a better discount.
