The processor has been upgraded, the memory increased, Wi-Fi has been upgraded to AX, and several useful features have been removed (the SD card, for example), the software and features remain aligned between the two, but even then, it still feels like a worthwhile upgrade. My network is stable; I run a lot of high traffic boxes, and it never skips a beat, but the same can be said of the RT2600ac.
