Works great to find black sand. Sucks at finding gold.

Great pan for metal detector enthusiasts!
It’s plastic so won’t interfere with your metal detectors. It has a variety of ridges to help you sift and sort through finds. My husband’s name is Peter so this became his Peter Pan. *Insert eye roll This really is a great little tool. It has a hole so you can attach a carabiner to your knapsack easily to free up space.

Smaller than I thought
This product suited my purpose. The cost IMO was too high. It looks like something you could purchase at the dollar store, to play in the sand.

Too smooth
Cheap plastic, surface is smooth and flimsy. Smaller then you would expect and doesn’t work well. Hardware store in Idaho had them for half the price and were larger and worked better.

Looks cheap but does the job
It does what I expected it to do, is rigid enough and seems like it can last a while, since the rocks don't make much friction with the plastic anyway because of the water.But it is so lightweight that it feels like something you would buy at the dollar store for a fraction of the price.
