Casio GW-9400 Series Rangeman Solar Radio Watch

Shipping was fine, and I'm very happy with the watch. It has a tough time syncing the time, but it might just be the location I'm in. It will work sometimes but not others. I downloaded an app for my phone that can play tones to sync it, so it's no biggie. Aside from that, the finish of the watch is great, and I love the features. Sure, it has a compass, barometer, etc., but let's not forget it's all packed onto a casio watch. There are more accurate tools available, but it's good for the price and convenience. The band is solid and surprisingly comfortable. The backlight works well and stays on for a few seconds after pressing the button. Overall I'm very happy and would purchase again.

This Japanese Domestic Market (JDM) release was in OEM new condition ... unboxing was awesome, G-Shock box in perfect condition, Japanese manual in its compartment and plastic sleeve, watch was nestled on a watch pillow with it's Japanese tags in place ... just a perfect OEM example of the JDM Rangeman, could not be happier. Love the colored band with the carbon fiber insert (something the U.S. models didn't have), which increases the durability of this model. The quality parts and construction enhances the overall look and feel of the watch. Wears great on my 7 1/2" - 7 3/4" wrist, and the same easy setup process as my last Rangeman. A great add to my collection and the Rangeman released here in the States that I purchased awhile back. If you can get your hands on one of these, worth every penny. Very highly recommended, don't think about it, just buy it ... you can thank me later!

The GW-9400 Rangeman gshock has been around since about 2013-14, but it is just as usable and cool today as it was back then. It's large, yes, but comfortable and well-made. It has a number of features not found on many (if any) other gshocks. This includes a single button used for the Alti, Baro, and Compass; a Sunrise/Sunset screen based on your local Lat/Long values; a one-touch, 1,000 hour stopwatch; and a time-stamp function that has a multitude of uses. The Rangeman is also mud resistant, and this particular Rangeman from Japan has the resin/carbon fiber strap with a yellow underside that's very cool. I used the excellent seller Japan Treasure Factory here on Amazon and got the watch very fast. Anyone who loves gshocks should have at least one GW-9400 Rangeman!

First thing first, props to the seller, the watch came nicely packaged with a thank you note and a small card adivising you that the manual is in japanese but you can download the manual in any language, they provide a web address and more conveniently a qr code to do so. This watch is a japanese exclusive release, but as far as I know it is only the aesthetic (yellow carbon fiber band wich is worth it imo, casios are not famous for the durability of the bands so i hope it lasts longer) other than that the watch is a rangeman (is good), you are not buying it directly from casio, but fear not, the seller is legit. Now the watch … first of all the watch is prettier than the photos tell you, it is beautiful, the yellow accent adds some kind of personality to the timepiece, and the dual color band looks really cool that is why i choose this one over the regular rangeman. this is my first gshock in years, altough i have a few pro treks and since this is a triple sensor watch I know what it was from the beginning, the features are there altimeter, barometer, compass, the pressure graph is longer than in my protrek prg600 so that is nice, the watch adds radio controlled time, so it will not lose accuracy over time, everything is there it has more features than the digi ana protreks have, like navigation with the compass, altough very basic it can be useful, it can also let you know about sudden variations in the air pressure, quick access to the chronograph, everything, this watch is the one you should get, yes the mudmaster is nice but feature wise this watch is the best.

Watch arrived in 2 days in good condition and in its original Japanese packaging. The directions are in Japanese as was the price tag still attached to the watch. Very reassuring to see this. I must admit I was skeptical buying this because it was advertised as Japanese domestic. Amazon reassured me all was good with the watch and I was covered. As far as setting up the watch G-Shocks are similar in a lot of ways so it only took a few minutes to set the time and other features to my liking. All I need to do with a G-Shock is to tell time and for it to be rugged and durable, which this watch is. I have larger wrists and the watch fits fine on my wrist even though it's just 5.4mm. The yellow adds a nice accent to the watch. It's not overly bright, very subtle which I like. The yellow on the bottom side of the watch is almost "signature like" because this model is a Japanese version. The watch also has some weight to it. A light, big watch is a contradiction to me, so I am glad it has some substance to it when you hold it in your hand. All in all glad I decided to get the watch.

While the watch has a number of good features, everything is too small. To see the N-S indicator you need reading glasses!

Despite its monstrous size, it is really comfortable! I don’t need an english manual as I have tons of other Casios ( Gshock and non Gshock ) so I was able to adjust the settings without a manual or watching on youtube. I am already LOVING IT!

En mi para nada humilde opinión, es el G-shock perfecto, tenia años que no me gustaba uno y este me enamoró desde que lo vi y aun mas cuando lo puse en mi muñeca, los acentos amarillos son discretos y a la vez le dan la cantidad justa de llamatividad. Es perfecto que sea solar, es cómodo, a pesar de ser grande, no es incomodo de llevar. Se que me durará años, o eso espero por que se ha hecho mi reloj de diario favorito. (El instructivo viene en japones pero en internet se puede encontrar fácil en Español)

Well, what can I say? it's a G-shock. I am not going to boast about it but this is a well known model and this particular colour way is a JDM release so I am glad to see Amazong sells it to UK customers. For that, I give 'Amazong' five stars.

Creo que ya es un reloj que posiblemente no tenga mucha demanda, todos quieren un 🍎 watch... pero para mi, es un fastidio vivir pensando que la pila apenas dura 2 días... este se carga con el sol, tiene esos sensores que te da mucha información también... esta super el diseño... muy cómodo a pesar del tamaño, creo que es perfecto... me encantó... uno de los mejores Gshock... y es el JDM!!
