Cat delighted
Difficult to please cat is equally delighted and fascinated by this strange egg-with-tail.The toy works equally well on a wooden or carpeted floor, though the hard outer shell is very noisy on the wooden floor. My cat finds the silicone tail material and randomised movement enjoyable both to watch and to attack. So far, the toy has survived several intense kickings and batting across the floor. It is also entertaining when placed into a jute shopping bag or under a cloth.Cat owner pleased by the rechargeability and the included charging cable and spare "tail".

Beware of Long Hair - Cat is obsessed and Loves this.. I'm cautious of it...
I have 2 semi long haired cats, one is not sure of the toy, but will watch curiously and will play a little. The other older Male cat is absolutely obsesed with it, trying to get me to turn it on for play ALL the time - first day we got it, he spend ALL day chasing it around, resentlessly - completely fixated., it keeps him happy for ages.I however am rather cautious of the item, on one hand I see how much my cat loves it and that is great - it helps that the tail is made of silicoln and makes it appear to be real.. On the other hand I see a cautionary safety issue for longer haired cats. Before I let it loose on the cat, I tested it on myself. I let it roll into and hit me to check if it would hurt - it doesnt, just a light knock and just slows down when it knocks into you, more like a brush up against you, the tail is soft if that hits you too just like being brushed with a feather - so absolutely no issues there. The concern I have is when I also tested on me, the tail managed to easily wrap itself around my hair - I had to stop to untangle it and didnt come out easily.... My cats are semi long haired so was a little concerned - althouth with shorter haired cats this shoundn't be a worry....For this reason I have only let the cats play with the toy, whilst I am watching & close on hand and watching them closely.. A few times the tail has grasped into his fur - he will jump away as it he thinks is biting him and it breaks away, he has even run off with it attached to fur with it flying behind him and it has broken away from either his jump or the force of him running off. This makes me more convinced the toy needs close supervision, esepcially with longer haired cats - and especially as cats will easily panic...I would add though this has happened, it has not put my cat off, still loves and pesters me for the toy and overall the enjoyment he has got out of it is worth my close supervision.Writing this to make any long haired or semi long-haired cat slaves aware - your cat may well love this toy, especially if into long stringy like toys - but please make sure there is close supervised play when using it..**UPDATE** I tried this toy in a box, like on video, as my cat kept loosing it under the sofa. Worked well, but then 2nd cat found as it was kept in one place chewed threw the silicoln tail.. I had a replacement, but decided to avoid this to leave out of the box. Then decided to buy the fabtic tails to tray and I would add this does NOT have the same tangle risk as the silicoln tail, however the material causes some drag, will get stopped easier if colides with an iteam and the charge seems to go down quicker - so it's a bit of a weight up of which is prefered.. Silicoln seems more fun for cats, moves about more freely and like lighly to stop turning when comes into contact with something, BUT you need to watch hair.. The material better for hair, but not so effecting in moving about and charge doesnt last so long.

So far, so good
The media could not be loaded. Item was as described, and arrived promptly BUT as one of my cats is a long haired Ragdoll I'd agree with others who say keep watch carefully as the silicone tail got caught in her fur twice!Sadly, it loses a star on that basis as it scared her, and made her wary of the tail - but I can see this is a great self-directed toy for short haired breeds like my tuxedo boy.Overall this is a very good purchase and with the free extended warranty, well worth the initial price tag - you'll get some good use out of this in your toy rotation - especially for indoor cats! You get a spare silicone tail in the box and a well thought out rubber ring to protect the charging port. Also, the ball automatically turns off after 10 minutes so you can control play time and switch back on or put away to keep interest fresh for the next session.Only downside I can see: It's a shame that we weren't given the cloth tail as a spare - only 2 silicone trails in the box at time of my purchase (I see furry tail is now standard spare) - shame; both cats would have loved it(Video is day 2)EDIT: The company saw my review and sent two furry tails! I'm stunnedTruly impressive customer service, from a company that has really thought out this product and wants cats to really enjoy it fully. My long haired Ragdoll is loving it now (my short-haired tuxedo boy has been in love from day 1!). Thanks Lifefav - editing to upgrade review to 5 stars!

Really great toy, BUT not durable/safe
This is the first toy my cat has really been interested in, and has actively played with. Unfortunately as other reviewers have mentioned, the silicone ‘tail’ won’t last. My cast bit through it on first play, thankfully I got it out of her mouth before she swallowed it. Please developers make the tail less dangerous because the concept is REALLY goodUPDATE - the customer service for this company is excellent. They have offered to replace my unit with a more durable tail - I am very pleased with this as it is a great toy otherwise.

The cats love it!
I really wish I'd done a video when I first put this toy on the floor..... all four house cats appeared and were stalking it in seconds! It moves all over the place on a hard floor, but can still move on carpet which is great. The cats are really enjoying themselves so I highly recommend it.

Rubber Tails easily swallowed !!!!
I recently purchased this item for my cat. Sad to say he didn’t like it so I gave it to my daughter who has 3 cats. They loved it and played with it continuously. After she had it for about a week I asked her if they were still happy with the toy and she advised that they no longer used it because the rubber tails were all broken ! Tonight she sent me this picture and said that her one cat (quite a large one!) had vomitted both of the ends of the rubber no tails up and that she estimated that he had swallowed them about 3 weeks ago !!!! She had no idea that this had happened and was grateful that her cat had not died !!If you do purchase this toy please be aware that it is dangerous and your cats must be watched very carefully whilst playing with it.

Cats very intrigued!
The media could not be loaded. The cats were a bit apprehensive as it is quite fast but I put it under the cover and they loved it! Not sure if it can be slowed down or not! My male cat started carrying around it appeared so realistic!
