Légère Reeds - Alto Saxophone Reed, Signature, Strength 3.00 (ASG3.00) - Premium Synthetic Woodwind Reed

Tried out these synthetic reeds after a recommendation from YouTube and was extremely pleasantly surprised. The depth of tone I get playing on these as opposed to cane reeds is astounding - and there's no set up with soaking the reed or storing it in a humidity-controlled case. Absolutely fantastic.

I play a vandoren traditional 2.5, but at the time I played a 3 so ordered a 3. Honestly to me it feels a tad lighter than a 2.5 even. There are comparison strength charts but honestly it seems to vary from person to person so you just have to take a gamble and it will usually pay off. I like this reed, it sounds *very* close to cane and lasts a lot longer. However, it’s very gimmicky unless you’re using it to play outside in wet conditions, as then you can continue playing e.g. in a marching band. Synthetic reeds like this one are best for marching band players, or bari sax players with a low reed budget (in my opinion).

I like these! They play well, but be aware they’re on the darker side. It’s a smooth sound. I like resistance and to push a reed, working to drive the sound, so it suits me well. In strengths of 3 and above they’re fairly stiff, with not much buzz. I play a lot of modern stuff these days and I like being able to rely on a single reed to be the same every time I play, regardless of the day / temperature / humidity etc. They come in a little plastic folding case now, which is actually really useful. I recommend for altoists and clarinettists… but I haven’t tried them on tenor or bari yet, I suspect they might lack the flexibility needed on those.

Da un buen sonido

First time soon after I received a product writing a review within 30 minutes after using the product. This synthetic reed is an amazing product although an expressive one. I was able to play with ease despite being a beginner unlike the bamboo reed. Hope it last longer for its price. Pros: Don't need to wet, sound clearity is crystal clear and round, don't need to use pressure like the bamboo reed, comes with an hard plastic case. Con: Highly priced, wish the manufacturer makes it affordable.

Der Klang ist einwandfrei. Das Sax spricht sofort an, Einspielen entfällt. Ob Kunststoff beim Holzbläser authentisch ist, bleibt Geschmackssache

Uso le ance Legere da circa un anno e sono così buone! È fantastico avere la coerenza fin dall'inizio - non è più necessario scartare le ance e dover salvare quelle buone. Suono tutti i giorni e ogni canna dura molto a lungo quindi il costo di una canna non è proibitivo. Anche la custodia in plastica rigida che ottieni con ogni canna la protegge davvero. Fantastico prodotto!
