For a basic but very effective installation you can cut most of them off, keeping just the red wire, the black wire, and the white wire. Actually you don't absolutely need even the white one. Connect the black to earth and the red to a 12V supply that is always on (e.g. the one the supplies your clock or keeps your radio from locking down). If you do want to use the white wire connect it to a 12V supply that is on only when the ignition key is turned far enough to power up accessories (e.g. the other 12V supply to your radio).If you know what you're doing and you aren't intimidated by lots of wires and relays obviously you won't cut them off. You will then be able to exploit all the features of tracker, with additional sensors and alarms, and the ability to stop the engine remotely.If the SIM you choose has voice mail enabled by default, first pop it into a normal phone to disable voice mail. For example, with an O2 SIM you would dial 176002 to disable voice mail.The translation of the user guide is not always adept. For example it mentions sending a message to the tracker to "turn off the oil". It really means "turn off the fuel". ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ easy to install for basic functions using a giff gaff ... *by P***R on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 12 February 2018* after my focus st was stolen decided to fit one to the wifes car, easy to install for basic functions using a giff gaff sim, still hasn't used any data or credit in over a month. tracking is accurate and the online tracking is good. did a lot of research into trackers and insurance a £599 top of the range tracker with a £17 a month subscription only reduced my insurance by £10 a year on 2 of the top 10 cheapest quotes! so basically fitting an expensive tracker will cost me more money than I would save. on that basis I went for this model, glad I did and will buy and fit one to my next car. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Cost effective vehicle tracker *by B***0 on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 22 August 2017* Good price for a well featured device. The request for an ad hoc location is a bit odd, a telephone call instead of an SMS request, but works ok once you've recognised this subtle difference - all other commands are sent by SMS. Used O2 Classic PAYG SIM as a very cost effective way of communicating. Like the remote GPS antenna for positoniong where a signal can be picked up in the vehicle - GPS seems more sensitive to body metal work than GSM. Not using the other functionality, though handy to have for the future?
