Great taste

Maybe I got a bad batch, but this wasn’t edible. I compared it to nduja paste which was super-spicy and delicious. I could add as much as I wanted of the paste to my own tomato sauce. Sorry, but I wish I could recommend this product because it could be convenient. It sort of tasted like tomato sauce watered down with a strong chemical compound. Disappointing. I even asked others to try it and they winced and spit it out!!

one of my all time favorite pasta dishes is pasta alla silana with eggplant, sun dried tomato and salami piccante from a ristorante in parghelia. i have tried to use local stuff (american made) when we are back here in the US, but it never came out as spicy and tasty as i wanted (as i could never find proper salami piccante the kind i get in southern italy.) so i was very excited when i came cross a cooking reel from tiktok and learned this brand "tutto calabria" and the sauce. i thought being authentic from calabria, it would solve my problem with the flavor. i tasted the sauce when i opened it. it is ok spicy but not as tasty as i imagined. i especially did not taste any hint of the famous sausage in it. and dish also came out just so-so. i think i am going to wait till i can go back to tropea to source local.

This is a great sauce, very distinctive flavor. Probably best for ravioli or tortellini because size of jar is very small. Sauce will disappear on spaghetti. Probably won’t be buying again because they keep raising the price. Extremely expensive considering it’s such a small jar.

Calabrian Chili Best ever the flavor was great

Can't believe how much this thing is. It's more expensive than Nduja paste, despite containing less nduja since its a sauce and not a paste. Definitely not subsitutable. It also contains zero storage instructions, so despite nduja paste being shelf-stable this thing molded in a single day. Flavor wise, it's just sauce with a hint of nduja to it. It's okay, I would pay like a quarter of the price for it.

I received this recommendation from my cousin! Love it. The jar is a little smaller than pictured but we are using it to add to our traditional sauces and appetizers. Price is great especially because you cannot find it in any stores!
