Great silent filter
I have now ordered a total of 6 of these for my bigger tanks. Super easy setup and work wonderfully. Adjustable flow and super quiet operation are great plus they come with multiple options for return pipe flow! Comes with all necessary parts and filter media which is convenient.

No replacement filters? Really??
It's a decent filter; however, there are no replacement parts for it... and the manual says you have to replace the cotton every 4 weeks. When I asked the seller, they said they'd be available "as soon as possible". Ridiculous. No i have to replace the whole thing with another brand. Don't waste money on this unsupported unit.

WOW…this thing is impressive!!!
I have used a lot of filters in my day, and you can’t beat a canister for filtration efficiency. But for smaller setups they are typically too powerful, so most folks just slap a HOB power filter on and call it a day. This is a totally legit HOB canister! Build quality is good. 20-40 gallon tank perfection!!!UPDATE: So I liked this thing so much, I ordered two more to convert all my HOBs over. Unfortunately, I prefer the spray bar implementation, and both new filters are missing the small length of straight pipe that connects the output arm to the spray bar. There is another version of the little pipe that I attempted to use that has the nipple on it to add the aerator when using the directional nozzle, but it’s sloppy and doesn’t work right.Apparently the only option is to return the items and hope the next two have the tiny pipes. I am not pleased with this from a customer service and an environmental perspective. So we are shipping whole units around the country and presumably back to China for two small lengths of pipe that fit in a match box? We need to do better than that. Can I get some help here?

Worked well until it didn't.
I put the filter into my aquarium on 9/26 and then on 10/27, it made a high pitched squeaking noise and died. It did it's job until it died. Save your money for Fluval or eHeim if you want a reliable filter.

Don't waste your money.
I have two turtles in 20 gallon tank and they arent full grown yet. This filter wasn't the easiest to open up or put together. Worked fine for the first month then the water flow started getting less and less now it barely trickles out. I have to buy another filter and I haven't even had this one for a year.

Great Concept and Good Filter.
Pros:* Very Quiet* Effective at keeping a 20L clean* Extremely adjustable water flow.* HOB / Canister cross.* Can use your own filter media with the baskets.Cons* Replacement filter media not always available (Can be solved by cutting your own)* Power cable could be a little longer* Baskets are a little hard to separateReview:I have had mine on a 20L tank for almost 2 years now. its been a great Canister/HOB crossover that I think is a great concept. It is a tad bit frustrating that the replacement filters aren't in constant supply though and that they seem to come up for sale every once in a while forcing you to have to check back on the main listing a couple time a month. There is a solution for this though. For anyone who has one and can't buy replacement filters. If you save the blue bio foam that comes on the bottom of the filter stack then you can use it as a templet to cut out new filter media for it. You can get filter media either here on Amazon or at a local pet store. I personally cut floss pads and bio foam for mine and then put a small bag of activated carbon in the top basket where the carbon pads usually go. It keeps my tank very clean and the fish.

Better than some of its competitors
I would classify this filter as a HOB, but with canister features. I highly recommend this because of its media baskets (×5). A lot of these HOBs have cartridges that get costly having to purchase over n over. With these style baskets you have 4 sponges to catch waste, medium(blu), fine(wht), and carbon impregnated(blk). And you can add whatever biomedia you choose. This worked perfectly right out of the box. Good flow (180gph) for small tank. May even need to turn it down a bit. Control knob on outlet regulates the flow. Just turn it.So far out performing SunSun HOB 803. SunSun is slightly bigger but less flow (132 gph). SunSun flows from top down while Berfaza flows from bottom up. Again so far I prefer this over the SunSun/(rebranded in UK as Allpond solutions 803 HOB). SunSun is not a bad filter I just had pump heads quit on me... This one had no issues. Just plug n go, lots of flow...
