We had a week of sub-zero temperatures after heavy snow so pavements and roads were solid ice - these were invaluable in keeping safe because the spikes really gripped the ice and meant we could walk the dog securely. The spare spikes should be useful. The large size fitted my size 10 shoes and did not slip off. They seem robust.

Certainly stopped any sign of slipping on compacted snow, and ice, making dog walk easy. Where snow or ice had gone, they make walking on tarmac slippery. I bought the larger size as recommended to fit walking boots, but the still didn’t stretch over the heal properly, so I would recommend 2 sizes larger. Good to have spare studs although haven’t needed them so far after several days of use. Good value for money, definitely work, but really only suitable if snow or ice covering more of the ground than clear. I would buy again and have recommended them to friends.

Bought for a Northern Lights Cruise to North Norway, but got issued with similar on a snowy / icy visit to a Polar Wildlife Park! So ours were not used. They work well. Local people around Alta seemed to carry / wear them everywhere. Recommended.

Good value - bought for 2nd family trip to Iceland, last year it demanded a lot of concentration and nerve to walk on the icy footpaths ( I still fell over), so this year I bought these. They were great; no worries about losing grip even on the iciest of surfaces, would have given them 5 stars except that I have the smallest feet of our group at size 6 and I did have to keep straightening them as they slipped around to the side, might get a smaller size next time.

These ice grippers work reasonably well, but tend to slip off at the heel and need to be regularly retightened. Their performance would be improved dramaticaly by the addition of ankle straps.

Best thing ever! Seen so many people wearing these and thought, "I must get a pair" and never did........until now. We had some snowy weather and what better time to try these! They felt a bit strange at first, almost like i was wearing football (soccer) boots but that aside they worked and stopped me from slipping in the snow. *CAUTION* Not to be worn on frosty days as they won't grip. They're for snow and ice.
