Eliminates the shine
I have had oily skin all of my life and hate the greasy look that comes hours after I have washed my face. This product is on the orange side, but if you aply it sparingly it will blend into your skin (I am fair skinned). Maybe when I turn 40 I won't need it, but for now it makes me look good. (I have almost always been pimple free - good genes I guess.)

Review of Adult Acnomel Acne Medication Cream, 1.3 Ounces
Review of Adult Acnomel Acne Medication Cream, 1.3 OuncesIf you're looking for an effective solution to tackle stubborn breakouts, the Adult Acnomel Acne Medication Cream is a product that delivers noticeable results. However, as with many acne treatments, it comes with its own set of considerations, especially for those with sensitive skin. Here's a detailed review based on my experience:EffectivenessThe cream is highly effective at reducing breakouts and calming inflammation. After applying it to problem areas, I noticed a visible improvement within a few days. Redness and swelling were significantly reduced, and new blemishes seemed to fade faster than usual. It’s a great spot treatment for sudden breakouts and works well as part of a targeted skincare routine.Skin DrynessAcnomel does have a drying effect, which is both a strength and a potential drawback. For oily or combination skin, this drying effect can help control excess oil production and keep breakouts at bay. However, for those with sensitive skin, it might cause irritation or excessive dryness. In my experience, even with normal skin, I noticed some dryness and flaking around the treated areas after a few uses. To counteract this, I recommend pairing it with a hydrating, non-comedogenic moisturizer to maintain your skin’s moisture barrier while using the cream.Application and TextureThe cream has a thick consistency and a slightly medicinal scent, which is common with products containing active acne-fighting ingredients. It applies smoothly and absorbs relatively quickly, leaving a matte finish. Because of its thickness, a little goes a long way, and it’s best used as a spot treatment rather than an all-over face cream.Sensitivity ConcernsAs noted, this cream may not be ideal for individuals with very sensitive or already compromised skin. The drying properties and active ingredients can exacerbate redness or irritation if your skin is prone to sensitivity. If you’re unsure how your skin will react, it’s best to do a patch test on a small area before applying it to your face.Packaging and ValueThe 1.3-ounce tube is compact and convenient, making it easy to store or take with you on trips. While the size is relatively small, the product’s potency means you don’t need to use a large amount, making it last longer than you might expect. It’s reasonably priced for an acne treatment, offering good value for its effectiveness.Who It’s Best ForBest For: Individuals with oily or combination skin who are looking for a targeted treatment to manage occasional or moderate breakouts. Not Ideal For: Those with dry or sensitive skin, as it may exacerbate irritation or flakiness.Tips for UseApply a thin layer to the affected area only—avoid over-applying as it can increase dryness.Pair with a gentle cleanser and moisturizer to prevent excessive dryness.Use sunscreen during the day, as some acne treatments can make your skin more sensitive to sunlight.Final ThoughtsAdult Acnomel Acne Medication Cream is an effective solution for clearing breakouts and reducing inflammation, but it’s not without its downsides. While it works wonders on acne, the drying effects may not suit everyone, particularly those with sensitive or dry skin. If you’re willing to manage the potential for dryness with a good moisturizer, this cream can be a powerful addition to your skincare arsenal.Pros:Effectively reduces acne and rednessAffordable and long-lastingEasy to apply and leaves a matte finishCons:Can cause dryness or flakingNot suitable for very sensitive or dry skinStrong medicinal scentRating: 8/10It’s a reliable and effective acne treatment, but its drying properties make it better suited for those with oilier skin types or as a targeted spot treatment. Use it wisely and with caution if you have sensitive skin!

A go-to for decades.
First used this stuff back in high school (in a previous century; you'll have to guess which one). Worked like a charm then, and still works now for my (thankfully much-less-frequent) breakouts. Nice to see a product that just keeps on working the way it's supposed to. Quick and effective.

satisfied with this new discovery
I have had acne for 30+ years. I know there is no magic fix out there but I'm always keen to try new products. I had never heard of Resorcinol before I saw Acnomel on Deals of the Day. This product reviewed well so I gave it a chance. After a couple months of use, I think it is working pretty well. I still break out but it seems like this does a better job controlling it than a benzoyl peroxide product. I was also impressed that it cleared up some cystic-type body acne.I would have given it 4 stars but I didn't like the tint. It's streaky on my (medium/tan) skin tone and smears even more when I put on moisturizer. Next time I would buy the untinted.I only have a few "cons", but let's be honest: if I found a product that completely cleared up my skin none of this would matter. 1) texture is gritty, not creamy so it doesn't spread very well. I feel like I'm using more than I need just to get good coverage. 2) Can't figure out how to fit into my existing skin-care routine. You're supposed to apply it to cleansed skin, but as noted, it doesn't play well with moisturizer. Might need to put the moisturizer on first? 3) Most effective on existing surface blemishes. For me it doesn't prevent breakouts or do anything for blackheads so I still need an exfoliant or salicylic acid product. 4) Expensive compared to other over-the-counter acne treatment options. But hey, if it works it's totally worth it.
