Whether you've been a shell head since day one or a newer fan following IDW's ongoing series, The Last Ronin hardcover deserves a spot in your comic collection." — CBR "It's TMNT by way of The Dark Knight Returns , down to the gritty internal monologues and vaguely cyberpunk aesthetic." — ComicBook.com Review: The lost years - TMNT: The Last Ronin – Lost Years is an exceptional companion volume that adds depth and context to the Last Ronin saga while standing firmly on its own as a compelling story. Without spoiling any plot details, this book enriches the world, expands the characters, and provides meaningful insight into events that longtime fans will appreciate. It never feels like filler; instead, it serves as a valuable and engaging addition to the overall Last Ronin universe. As a physical book, the production quality is excellent. The paper stock feels thick and premium, giving each page a substantial, high-quality feel. The printing is sharp and clean throughout, allowing the artwork and colors to stand out exactly as intended. Blacks are rich, colors are vibrant, and fine details remain crisp even in the most visually dense panels. The artwork is one of the book's greatest strengths. Every page showcases impressive attention to detail, expressive character designs, and beautifully composed scenes. Action sequences are dynamic and easy to follow, while quieter moments are given equal care and visual impact. The artists capture both the emotional weight and the larger-than-life energy that fans expect from a TMNT story. The coloring deserves special praise. It adds atmosphere, depth, and personality to every scene, helping establish mood while enhancing the artwork rather than overwhelming it. The color palette shifts naturally to match the tone of each moment, resulting in a visually immersive reading experience from beginning to end. The overall presentation is fantastic. The cover has a premium feel, the binding is sturdy, and the book is clearly designed with collectors in mind. Pages turn easily, the book feels durable in hand, and the entire package reflects a level of craftsmanship that comic fans can appreciate. Whether you're already invested in The Last Ronin saga or simply looking for a beautifully produced TMNT book, Lost Years delivers. Outstanding artwork, excellent coloring, premium materials, strong storytelling, and superb production quality make this a must-have addition to any TMNT collection. Review: From Closure to Legacy - If The Last Ronin was the end of Michelangelo’s story, Lost Years shows us what came before and what comes after. It’s a bridge story; part prequel, part sequel. We see his lonely path back to New York, carrying the weight of his family’s deaths and facing more heartbreak along the way, and at the same time, Casey Jones’ daughter raising a new generation of turtles. The four new turtles aren’t as iconic as the originals, and honestly, it would be nearly impossible for them to be, but they represent rebirth and the saga coming full circle. It’s both tragic and hopeful, and it makes the saga feel complete. The hardcover itself feels solid. The glossy pages make the art shine, and while the spine creaks when open, I hope this doesn’t affect durability since I'm nearing the 30-day return window... Together, the two hardcovers belong side by side: one closes the past, the other opens the future. Is the first book better? Sure. But this is a worthy read.

Great in-between/origin story.
This is a great in-between/origin story for how the events unfold and we get to know more about the new turtles.

Decent follow up
Not a bad story. Not the quality of the last ronin but a decent background story and lead up to the sequel.

A fantastic sequel, but arrived in poor shape
Unfortunately badly damaged in transit, and am quite annoyed by the state I received it in. The book itself is incredible, and I'm glad to own this collection but I'm bitterly disappointed in how I received it. Huge crack down the spine and a quite clear rip of the hardcover.

Great TMNT comic
Awesome TMNT adventure to tie the gap between Last Ronin and Last Ronin Re-evolution.

Livro de mostruário com rasgado.
Minha filha amou o livro, porém deveria ter sido informado que o livro era mostruário, veio com adesivo na capa e um pequeno rasgado, uma pena, já que não foi barato.
